Some people ignore the obvious
When will they understand
Some people believe in destiny
When the future is right there in their hand
And when the rain falls
And everything is washed clean
And when the wind whispers
Of things that are meant to be
The stars are all falling down
And all we do is wish
What about believing in yourself
I know that you will make it
And then there is tomorrow
I'm living for today
And if you ever need a friend
I'll be around the corner
Waiting for the opportune moment

An optimistic poem. Even diehard pessimists and realists (i.e. me) can apreciate it... Most of the time when I talk about opportune moments, they are ones that I drastically failed. Good job.
Nice title, i only read it because it reminded me of the pirates of the carribean. I am happy to say I actually liked the poem as well. The one thing is that poems are usually suposed to make the reader feel one particular way. This one was a bit all over the place even if it was in the same general area. Understand?
Probibly not, even i find myself puzzleing.
I liked the subject matter, but in the third stanza, the ryming was off. Good poem though.
