Liar

By day I live this fantastic lie

A lie I will live ‘til the day that I die

I laugh, I smile, I joke, I tease

so everyone believes this lie, that is, except me

Hello, how are you? Of course I’m polite

I’m neat, I’m clean, and mostly I’m nice

That is the trick, watch and you’ll see

that the lie itself is the life that I lead

But the lie only lasts as long as the day

then it’s off to bed, and a land far away

A place with no limits where I can be free

where I’m really, truly, officially me

It’s sad I know, and totally lame

but in reality, to me it’s almost a game

It’s been this way since my early youth

the fact is I’m a liar, and that is the truth

Thank you to everyone who reviewed this. I really don't know how to write poetry, but my computer broke and so I was bored and started scribbling in a notebook, this is what I came up with. I'm glad you liked it, and I hope I can improve.

First one to review!!! Alright, I guess that means I have to be the one to give you constructive crictism. Honestly, I didn't see anything wrong with this poem at all, in fact everything was really well done. i enjoyed reading it, and the fact that this poem applied to me in every way just makes it even better. I really enjoyed this poem and I'm glad you made it, keep writing!
