I can absolutely relate to this. I have quit many a novel and even a screenplay because I had no idea what was going to happen. Generally what I do is I start something new, and a resolution usually works out in that one that I can use with the story I'm stuck on.
Overall I thought that it was a good concept for a poem. I mean, what can be better than getting an idea for writing than the thing that stops you from writing? Actually, someone in my creative writing class just wrote a poem on the same subject. Are you her, perchance? Anyway, I thought it was overall a good poem, and it made me laugh. You could have had the poem flow a little better though, and the word choice could have been a little better. Very good for one of yourfirst pieces. Keep writing!
Thanks for all the comments, I didn't realise it would be viewed so much!

Haha(: I can definitely relate to this. I think this was very good at displaying what we feel while we are trying to write during writer's block and how it feels in the background. It sounds nice, but maybe add a bit more about the frustration writer's block brings? For example- for me, sometimes I just really want to write a poem about something specific or even just anything but the words just don't come out or if they do, it sounds really off. Maybe you could try writing about that in this poem also? It really is up to you. I personally don't like to ask other users to change too much because I understand that sometimes if a poem seems rather blunt or maybe it isn't exactly what that user would have put, it's what YOU were feeling and the words that appeared to you in your mind and if you change them, it takes away from what you were feeling at that moment. That's the beauty about poetry- a poem isn't just a work of art; it's also a means to express something on your mind. A way to rant or get your thoughts out without having to even say them. So I think it's good, maybe add some more descriptions of your personal experience with writer's block, but it's honestly just up to you even if someone else says it isn't.
In agreement with what the last person said: this poem does not flow very well. The concept is of course great; who doesn't like to get out of writer's block by writing about writer's lock?
I get confused in the second stanza. How can a twiddling pen be rotating like gears of the brain. I also think your imagery is a little bit strange. "Blank-stark of anything"? I get this idea, but the image is not very clear. I think with a little touching up on these choices could boost the poem a whole lot.
Very true for a start!
I think the concept of having writers blocked is put across quite effectively to a certain extent. I liked the comparison of the twiddling of the pen to the gears of the mind, I find that amusing for some reason.
My criticisms are that it doesn't seem to flow very well, as said before it seems quite choppy. I suggest that you read old Haiku's to get an idea of how to make something flow better and also to specify quicker and easier and to create imagery effectively and quickly.

Hey there!
thanks for your time,
This poem is alright. Your style is very consistent. It's very appealing to the eyes and inviting to your reader. The length is right, but I do have a few things. I would change about it.
1. Add a little more to the verses to make them flow with one another. They seem a little choppy but then again it could be your style and if it is. Great:)
2. Be a little more specific in a few words.
That's basically it. You did good, it's well thought out and created. Awesome punctuation, wish I was that good... Haha keep writing!
