I killed her only to live a second. I couldn't, or better said, didn't want to take it anymore. I lived a past my whole life before that moment. A type of past everybody tells you that you need to wait it out. A present of your life that you can't wait but pass so you can look back at it from your high horse and pretend you are grateful for. I am 26 and I sincerely doubt that whatever was waiting for me in the present was worth the wait. Or maybe I was defective.Because, instead of a present full of happiness, I got nothing but aimless anger and will to release it. I killed my wife to release it. After I knew instinctively that she was dead, I simply laid next to her. With a deep sigh I could feel my body going shallow and my brain slowing down until I couldn't do anything but feel. That moment was the present that was promised to me. A peace that only lasted a couple of seconds that accounted for the whole 26 years. As I am writing this, that moment is still engraved in my memory not as a beautiful picture but as a cold liquid that spreaded throughout my whole soul purifying it, my bloody hands even shake a little as I am imagining it. As I awoke from it, harsh reality called the future sunk in. The future is a present in which you can do nothing but lament your past actions or be delighted by them. You become your own judge that even if able to remember every action, will never again be able to recognize the logic from which it came. In such a position I was looking at deformed body of my wife. Her face forcefully altered to unrecognizable shape, her hands still looking tense of fear, her blood ,which was the only thing that resembled her, fresh and young spilled on the ground by me. I don't understand how such a wrathful monster, capable of this savagery, existed, because it shouldn't. A brute, bastard, sinner, monster, devil.. whatever it is i will kill as my repentance.

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night(whichever one it is in your part of the world),
Hi! I'm Kate and I'm here to leave a quick review!!
Anyway let's get right to: Kate's Line by Line Reactions;
Well this is certainly quite the powerful moment, a moment and a half honestly with the sheer scale of everything that is going down in this moment even thought of course it all does in fact take place within a moment.
I'm honestly struggling to find the words to fully capture the feelings that it inspires here. The very casual almost opening in terms of how this person is reacting to it, onwards to the visceral and incredibly powerful imagery as we along with this person take in the sheer scale of the horror this anger has wrought upon the world and the irreversible destruction that has spilled out here in this moment. I think that's the real selling point here, the person's single moment of anger and respite from doing that horrible thing before reality catches and its just ice cold regret all the way through sinking in and solidifying in full horror.
Overall it ends up with a very powerful ending there and that final decision, something that happens all too often in moments like and it makes for a very chilling ending.
Aaand that's it for this oneee!!!
As always remember to: Take what you think was helpful and forget the rest!
Kate
It is in fact good morning thanks to your review.
Wow, what a way to start a story! I did a double take, seriously. The opening line immediately made me want to delve into this, and I'm glad I did. I soon gathered that this narrator has gone through something dark in his life, and the opening line was made even more brutal when we learn the woman killed was his wife of all people.
"After I knew instinctively that she was dead, I simply laid next to her. With a deep sigh I could feel my body going shallow and my brain slowing down until I couldn't do anything but feel. There's something deeply wrong and surreal about this. The calm reaction of laying down, the description of coldness despite being next to a warm body. The contrast only adds to the horrifying nature of what we're reading.
There's a few grammar issues, "spreaded" in the above paragraph only needs to be "spread", for example. I also think this story could be broken up into a couple of paragraphs as opposed to a wall of text. Nothing too major, just worth pointing out!
I wish I knew more about what lead up to the moments described in this story. The vibes the text presents captured my interest and made me want more, which is only a good thing! As far as what you set out to accomplish here, you did it well.
Thank you for your review, i will try to work on my grammar since english is my second language. I will be sure to look into some of your work as well.
