My brother is very naughty,

He knows nothing

Because he is just 6.

He does not study

But copies everything

Because he is just 6.

He wants everything

But doesn't want to pay for it

Because he is just 6.

He loves ship & godzilla

Does research on them

Though he is just 6.

He watches a movie 100 times

And thinks its real

He is so foolish

You don't want to hear

Because he is just 6.

As he is my brother I love him as he is mine

I want to take care of him but doesn't listen to me

Because he is just 6.

Next month is his birthday

And he wants what he likes

But I will give him this poem

And see what he does

If he laughs I will be happy

If he gets angry I will hug him

Because he is just 6

Omg the repetition!! Idk it might be just me but I love it when there's a repeating line throughout a poem like this. It conveys the message and drives it in more. Also, I like how you use the example of how he is having his birthday soon. I wish you would talk a little more about how he is going to grow up, though, since you talk about the birthday. All in all, nice poem :)

Hi there, whatabook! plathonstone here to review (though I'm never very good at them.)
I really liked this poem! I loved how simple it was, it reminded me how simple the mind of a six year old is, I don't know if this was what you intended but if it was then well done, it works.

I don't have a younger sibling, only many older ones, but I've always wanted a younger brother or sister and this poem reminded me exactly why: it reminded me how brilliant kids are.

Overall its a really cute poem. Good use of repetition, maybe add some punctuation? But I know how hard that is when you feel your poem doesn't need it. When it comes to poetry it's really up to the poet.

Keep writing.

Ok this will just be a few suggestions lets start the review!

Fist pluralize ship it was a little confusing to read.
Second the line "as he is my brother I love him as he is mine" was also a little confusing to read. Maybe reword it it a little.
Over all I really liked this poem and I can relate to it as my brother is around that age.
That is all please don't take this personally. Bye :D -JustGlitter

Needs a few tweaks here and there:
-ships,
-line18 could be rearranged to improve the flow.
Otherwise, great poem highlighting the many mood swings and quirks of six year olds. A joy to read.

I think you meant to say "ships" not ship. Godzilla needs to be capitalized, he may be a lizard/monster, but its still his "proper name" ;)

"As he is my brother I love him as he is mine" could be slightly reworded so it doesn't have "as he is" twice in one sentence.

Fix little things like this, and your golden :) this poem is adorable, I hope you will post your brother's reaction after his birthday, your poem got me really interested in his cute little personality :)

I found this poem vary emotional and vary true for all six year olds. I have a cousin who is six and when she doesn't get what she wants she gets mad, but I hug her and tell her I will try to get what she want. I really liked this poem and I think you should make another one like it and maybe I'll make a poem. I really like to read your next story, poem, short story, or anything you publish.
