In My Mind

In My Mind

There’s a raging river in my mind
Where I go to drown my every fear
The current foams with teeth like death
A notion that lies lifeless at the bottom

There’s a lush field of colors in my mind
Where I catch dragons in little glass jars
The grass sighs with weight like wings
A thought that flutters in the strongest cage

There’s a dark stone castle in my mind
Where I sing to watch the words throb
The voices heard are only echoes
A shadow that remembers dreams

There’s an endless bridge in my mind
Where I jump to the clutches of unknown
The air is thick with screams never squelched
An entrance and exit to cold reality

to Issac: Yea man, you are totally right with your comment. There is always light and dark in your mind. Often more dark, that's why it's so hard to do the right thing.

To Tgirly: I fixed the grammar mistake, thank for pointing it out. And the review was great, thanks alot!

To Cindy: I think it was selfdirected-anger more than anything played out. An anger for weakness in one's self. I love those lines too!

That's what stuck to my mind, I may have interpreted it wrong but I just feel so much rage right now, I love these lines.

I only found one grammer mistake, so kudos to you! In the last line, a should be an. Not that big of a deal, but it was slightly distracting. I like the imagery a lot. It had such imagination behind it, such inspiration. Great poem, great job. (Sorry I don't really have any real critiques.)

Ok so You go from a blast of colors then to a dark stone castle. What I took from that was that no matter where your at even in your mind, there will always be light and dark

This is beautiful my friend. Absolutely beautiful, you've created your own safe haven inside your head, you've done what every writer, painter and any other artist can create and put it in a beautiful work of genius. I applaud you.
