PROLOUGE
Three months ago a small group of Dutch scientists did an experiment on a long deceased person. Needless to say: Someone screwed up.
We used to call it the Dark Plague. But when they came to Portland, nobody cared what they were called. Especially me. Now they're called Zed- Or more commonly known as zombies.
My parents are dead. Or at least that's what we think. I live with my older brother, Casey. My little sister, Avery. And my best friend, Cannon. Cannon's parents abandoned him. Something that I HOPE my parents would never do... Or didn't do.
My 16th story apartment/penthouse is generally safe from the Zed. But every now and then, Zed climb the fire escape. My dad invested in three hunting rifles a month before the Zed attacked Oregon. Those tend to take care of that.
Oh, yeah. I'm Felix. Felix Crawford. And welcome to my nightmare.

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night(whichever one it is in your part of the world),
Hi! I'm here to leave a quick review!!
Anyway let's get right to it,
Ahh....well, we have ourselves a classic zombie apocalypse story going on I see....aaand well, I think surprisingly enough, despite the number of version of this that I've seen all around YWS, I think this one genuinely manages to actually be somewhat unique. The main cliché's are there, but this time it looks like a science experiment gone wrong rather than the usual zombie virus spreading from patient zero situation. Well I suppose it is still some kind of spreading infection but at least its not from some random food gone bad or something..so it is different enough.
Aaand well the family being lost is...also pretty normal to this genre, but I do like that at least we've got two brothers living together and fighting through this...a bit of a change from two random people that usually end up falling in love. At any rate, as a prologue to one of these stories, this ain't half bad. It does what it's meant to be doing and I'd go so far as to say that it does its job fairly well here...this definitely can get the attention of a reader pretty nicely.
Aaaaand that's it for this one.
As always remember to take what you think was helpful and forget the rest.
Stay Safe
Harry
I like this one's simplicity; all I can hope for is that you will make this one a comedy.
to me, everything points to comedy; from the silly title (come on, what horror story is called "ZPG: Zombie Prevention Group"), to the simplistic description (the first paragraph is funny and brilliant in its simplicity), and even the tone of the narrator (he expresseshis doubts, fears in a comical way - that's how I see it - "I HOPE my parents would never do... Or didn't do. ", "Oh, yeah. I'm Felix. Felix Crawford. And welcome to my nightmare. ").
trust me, your writing is well adjusted to make this one a comedy. go for it, you might have a winner!
Hahaha! Thanks so much! By the way, Felix is a girl. Sorry, I didn't explain that well enough.
Oh yeah, try a name generator (google "name generator") or go to babynames.com to look for a better name!
I changed the names of Nick (now Casey), Sarah (now Avery), and Ethan (now Cannon). Whadaya think?
Ok I want to read more.
Seriously? Nick and Sarah? You can do better than that! I mean, the name of your first crush and the name of your favorite tv character?! Come on, Sophie! And Isn't Ethan a little close to hmmmm I don't know... Austin? Come on, you can do better! If zombies are possible, you can invent whatever the heck names you like. I mean, nothing can be as weird as the name Katniss... Felix is ok. Now go find good names for the other characters.
Besides that, I think it is great.
PS- Re-Vamp Element Forest and submit that!
-Your abandoned best friend, Makenna
PS- How'd you get so many reviews?
Yeah, I totally agree about the names, they were sorta a work in progress.
~Sophie
P.S. YOU REMEMBER ELEMENT FOREST??? Ugh...
P.P.S. Why do you feel abandoned?
P.P.P.S. I dunno... People like zombies?
P.P.P.P.S. Is that all you would like to say?
Fine I admit... I love it!
Hehe! Thanks!
I love this!
Here and there I have a few little grammar nitpicks, but nothing major. Here's an edited version.
Three months ago, a small group of Dutch scientists did an experiment on a long deceased person. Needless to say, someone screwed up. (I feel like you could maybe add an adjective to emphasize the sentence, like maybe "...screwed up majorly." or "...screwed up, big time." I don't know your characters like you do, obviously, but it seems like something a fourteen year old would say.)
We used to call it the Dark Plague, but when they came to Portland, nobody cared what they were called. Especially me. Now they're called Zed, known more commonly to the rest of the world as Zed.
My parents are dead, or at least that's what we think. I live with my older brother, Nick, my little sister, Sarah, and my best friend, Ethan. Ethan's parents abandoned him. Something that I hope my parents would never do. Or that they never did do.
My 16th story apartment/penthouse is generally safe from the Zed, but every now and then Zed climb the fire escape. My dad invested in three hunting rifles a month before the Zed attacked Oregon. Those tend to take care of them.
Oh, yeah. I'm Felix. Felix Crawford. I'm a fourteen year old girl trying to keep her family alive. This may seem a little... Outrageous, I guess. But, anyway, welcome to my nightmare.
I noticed that you capitalized a few things for emphasis. I would suggest italicizing those instead.
I'm sorry if it seems like I'm picking it apart. I really liked it, and I would love to read more. PM me when you pose the next chapter!
Keep writing -

Thanks for the feedback! I'll consider it and stuff so... Yeah! Thanks, again!
I loved this!
It was very short as others said, but short isn't always bad! I'd like some descriptive details of the main character though. I feel like I can't really picture the main person. But other than that, I don't really have any complaints! I hope to see more from you in the very near future!
Keep Writing!!!

Thanks! I'll see if I can fit in some more descriptive stuff.
I loved this!

Sorry, double posted.
It was short, but sometimes, short is good. And in this situation, I believe short is good. ^_^ It seems like a gripping tale, and I'm excited to read more! Keep me posted, love~ I'm curious not. Being a zombie fanatic myself, I look forward to a sequel, and many more to come--it sounds epic.
Yours psychotically,

It was just a prologue, so... Yeah! Thanks for the feedback!
I love the sound of it so far. sounds like it will be a success. It has a catching name and prologue. I cant wait to read more. I am guessing it will be scary and riveting with a little twist. Some things you need to consider is originality. As a future fan i need to give you some pointers like give details on people's looks and the setting.
I love the sound of it so far, to!
Thank you! I'm hand writing this in a notebook I have, and I honestly think it's pretty original, so far. But that's coming from MY point of view. So, yeah! I'll be posting more when I get a chance. Thanks again!
I've been working this story FOR EVER! So, it's really important to me! And... Yeah!
