Daddy?

I wait for you to come home
With a heart filled with nothing
I am waiting for you, please come back
Come back home to me

I wait for you, father
To come back home to me
You left me here
With nothing to look for

Where did you go?
Why did you leave
Who's better than your family?

Dad, why did you go?
I thought you loved me
You where the first one to hold me
The first one to see my eyes

And then you left me
Without saying goodbye
You are in my house still
But you never talk anymore

Why are you always on the computer
Never to look at me?
Daddy, can you hear me?

That music isn't that loud
I can't hear it right next to you
But you can't hear me
Am I not loud enough for you?

Daddy? Can you hear me?
I love you, daddy
But, do you love me?
Mom worries about you

You lit another cigarette
And now it's gone
Poped open another beer
And now it's empty

Dad, are you okay?
You are acting kind of weird
Did you eat something bad?
Do not come at me daddy
Don't hurt me

Now I am scared
Why did you hurt me?
What did I do?
I thought you loved me

Now I am crying
Alone in my bed
All these insane feelings
Are they in my head?

Now I have a bruise
It's big like your hand
And purple like my shirt
Daddy, why did you hurt me?

Well, I am done trying daddy
Fifteen years has gone by
With you getting drunk
Smoking your lungs away

I love you daddy
But do you love me?

This poem made me cry, cause that is pretty much how my mom left me behind. I can understand the depth in this poem even though it might not hae happened to you. I love it.

Maybe the real Mariah Carey was the friends we made along the way
