Hero
The stereotype says
They wear tights and a cape
My hero is different
He wears a leotard and drapes
They usually fly
Up high in the sky
He doesn’t
He stomps pies
They’re supposed to be strong
Lifting up cars
Though mine is stupid
He walks through tar
They’re supposed to have weaknesses
Something that makes them fickle
My hero gets distracted
By the mere thought of a pickle
They also have a logo
That gives them luck
But my hero’s dead
He was eaten by a duck

Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
Since you're going for a poem with form, you might want to consider making the third line of the first four stanzas start with "My hero..." The final stanza using "But my hero..." would make an effective change in tone to bring us to a close.
Suggested changes are in italics (minus the punctuation I added):
