This poem read like people talk, which is nice, but it also makes the poem a little boring for me. I was hoping that you would go into the annoying pestering of writer's block instead of just saying that people without it, or with more skill, are people who are writers.
It is hard for me to relate to this poem because I know that there are ways to get passed a lack of skill and a lack of something to write about. There are more people out there who are suffering from this same thing but do not think that it is because of their hidden skill, but because they lack experience.
If the poem was less about the narrator cutting himself down and more about the problem of the blank page and getting the words out, I think it would be easier to relate to and more fun to read.
With that in mind I would strongly suggest that you write with a larger point in mind that you want to make and keep with showing the point in a new light every time you write about it. For example, write about how to get passed writer's block, or write about how it is impossible to get passed.
I really like this (you can have that as a bigger compliment than it sounds as I'm not usually one for poetry). I love the irony of course, but it also reads in quite a cute, quirky way. People have already commented on how some of the sentences are a bit awkward, but that doesn't worsen the poem too much for me. Good job!
I love irony and I love good writing, so for me, this poem rocks. I can't think of a single critique for you. Awesome poem.
This poem uses irony very well. with just the certain sentences a bit gawky in their positions, but the use of irony not being able to write to write this poem is very clever.
Good Work
Great poem! ^^
I feel like this poem is ironic about not being able to write, and yet you write a poem that is WAY better than I could write (and I've been told I'm not to bad at poetry). Or it could just be me.
It's not perfect, the writing was a little awkward in places, and by writing I mean the English (or maybe that's just me) but all in all, a really nice, funny, adorable poem.
Could be better, but very good effort.
Thanks. xD English is just not my first language.
