Leaf?

by StrangeGirl

I'm not quite sure what to call this, so I'll just go with a tentative "leaf". It's a haiku—it's supposed to be short.
______________________________________________
The single leaf hangs
A bitter frost surrounds him
He is all alone

Hi StrangeGirl, I really liked this. The syllables were all the right amount and even with something so short you managed to have it make sense.

A bitter frost surrounds him

This has to be my favorite line because it describes him/leaf the most and really brings out the most emotion. I guess like imagery, it was good :).

~~Mo~~

P.S. I love seeing any haikus 'cuz to me i find it hard to describe something in 17 syllables.

A little short, don't you think? This type of poem is called a haiku.

When one is highly alert to language, then nearly everything begs to be a poem.
