As far as I remember this is my first Lyrics posting. I personally believe that although lyrics can sound very good, just like poetry, they can also sound rubbish when you read them off a page. You just have to trust they'd sound good with music, I guess.
Did I do this to myself
Was it self-inflicted or did you
Make me so screwed up
Can’t even choose between
Take me to that land of infection
With its toxic waters crashing over me
Whip me with your scorching eyes
And take me to your pain
Wasn’t long since I hated it all
Didn’t want things so difficult
Now I yearn
Took one year to learn
I don’t love you through the pain
Take me back to polluted dreams
With its hungry reverie
Those hours of blood and aching
And take me to your pain
Strings that slice straight through me
A bluer blur than any icey eyes
Now I yearn
Took one year to learn
I don’t love you through the pain
I’ll love you through the pain
All the things you gave me
Left me a love of pain

chocolate-teapot (cute name btw) - Read above.
It's only hinting at emo. But it's with an acoustic guitar, so...
I'm really going off this song, that's kinda why i put it up. So, any pointers?
I love this song. The lyrics are kinda emo, but I like that sort of stuff.
Can you tell me what kind of instruments are used in this song, and also what type of genre it is meant to be
Emo-y... I guess slightly. It's a failry soft song though, over all. Buildin up at appropriate moments.
With guitar.
i don't do music genres very well but this sounds sorta emo. is it meant to be like that or is it just me?
i like how all the verses (except one) ends with the same word. tis quite interesting there.
this is my favourite part:
I’ll love you through the pain
just cause it shows a slither of hope through all of the other negative thoughts.
i'd like to know how the music goes for this. is it guitar, piano, etc. or do you just sing it on it's own at the moment?
