Water

Water

Water comes,
Water goes.
Water doesn’t stand still,
It flows

It makes me happy,
It brings me joy.

I sit at the edge,
And write a song.
A song about love,
A song about you.

I scribble for hours,
Frustrated and angry,
Finally it’s finished,
Finally, I am happy,

I stand up
and pack my bags,
when all of a sudden
The paper slips out of my hand.

It lands on your surface,
That crystal clear surface,
I pick it up to my shock to see,
That all the letters have flee.

Damn…
Damn…
Damn…

I hate the water.

Lovely poem! I especially liked the first verse..and the clever little twist at the end. :D

That shared a lot of meaning behind it.

Very creative and I enjoyed reading it.

My immediate though after this poem was; OH NO! QUICK GET THE PAPER! Hehe

I loved this, the imagery was really good and the flow was continuous, which made it a fabulous read. A good and funny twist towards the end.

Oh no, I’m sorry, you’re under the impression that here on YWS we *help* writers instead of just feeding their gremlin tendencies.
