After three months...
Sandy sighed as she walked on barefoot, letting her feet stride on the smooth, light-yellow sand of the beach. She was back at Bella Amor resort again. It was all because Nadja requested her to. Marky had to go to Manila and leave the resort to handle some contract signing with some affliates. Since, Nadja grew up to be really close to Sandy in spite of their four-year age gap, she longed to be with her while Marky was away.
She was occupying the penthouse on the rooftop of the resort while Nadja and Marky, who made the resort their official residence while their daughter, Maja wasn't yet schooling, situated their beautiful bungalow on the hidden part of the resort where tall coconut trees grew to separate the place from the sight of tourists. Her feet were heading toward that bungalow so she headed straight to the crowd of coconut trees when she saw it.
Her mind was running on thoughts about what happened three months ago. She went back home from Bella Amor, took some rest and after that, her life returned to normal. Actually, it was too normal for her and all her activities everyday seemed so routinary. It was like, doing almost the same things everday.

Marky didn't know why the new business investor for their resort's sister company, the Federal Furnitures, wanted to make a contract signing in a coffee shop. He thought that he shouldn't bother about that. If that was what the man wants, it would be given. After all, this investor would do good for his company that had a lot of branches already and stopped on focusing on furnitures alone. They also started manufacturing accessories, wood-carved figurines, statues and more. Every year, the company grew stronger all along with their beer -producing company, the Federal Wine Corporation. He sat on byt the small table beside the front of the Starbucks' entrance door. The shade of the green umbrella kept him away from the morning sunlight as he placed the papers atop the table. His new investor said that he was in a hurry somewhere so he had to make their transaction quick.
It didn't took Marky long to wait for the investor. He ran his fngers upward through his blonde hair and casually smiled at the man who was looking handsome on his jet black hair, white summer shorts and loose white buttoned polo. He looked like he was going to a beach anytime after their meeting.
Marky stood up to shake hands with him and the investor accepted.
"You look too young to be our biggest investor," Marky said with a grin at the man as they took their seats.
The man chuckled as he sat and replied, "Too young to be forty-one, eh?"
That shot a surprised look on Marky's face. He was taken aback for a while before he recovered and laughed. "Geez, Mr. Diego!" Then he shook his head. "You are incredible. No wonder, you're the president's son."
"Let's get this done already, Mr. Federal," he replied, trying to sound and look all business-minded this time. But then, that kind of attitude slightly dissolved as he took his pen out of his polo's pocket on the chest, lifted up his head and added, "Are you going back to Bella Amor after this, Marky?"
Marky nodded his head. "Definitely," he said as he handed the folder to Rafael for him to sign the papers. "I've brought the chopper with me, so booking for a plane flight won't be a hassle."
"Will it be okay if I come there with you?" he grinned as he signed the papers without reading anything in it. He would just look down, find where he should sign and do it.
"Want to check out the resort you'll be investing to, eh?" Marky grinned as he laid his back flat on the metal backrest of the chair.
"Actually, I'm planning to spend my vacation there." Rafael turned to the next page and signed again.
Marky finally noticed that he was signing the papers too fast and not reading them at all.
"Sure, I'll reserve a suite for you right away," he said as he pulled out his cellphone from his pocket, but before he could make any calls, Rafael interrupted him.
"I heard there's a penthouse on the rooftop of the suites," he grinned, not looking at Marky as he finished signing. He lifted his head, met Marky's expectant stare, expectant for what he was going to say next. Then, Rafael handed the folder to Marky and continued, "I want to stay on that one."
Marky let out a nervous chuckle. He would not want to disappoint his biggest investor in the company, but neither would he let anyone have the penthouse which was personally for the Federal family only.
"You see," Marky said to explain as he held the folder with two hands, "it's a private penthouse, Mr. Diego."
"I assume no one's using it," Rafael said. "I insist on using that one. Or maybe I might need to convince your family to let me use it?"
"It's just a penthouse, Mr. Diego... Why insist to use that?" Marky asked, trying not to sound pretty upset when Rafael kept on insisting that he should use the penthouse in his stay at the resort.
"I would love the view in there. Plus, there's a private pool there, right?"
"I see," Marky spoke with a trace of resignation. "But my cousin is currently occupying that penthouse. I wasn't sure if she would leave as soon as I come back to the resort."
"Let me talk this matter to your cousin then. We can share rooms," Rafael said, sounding pretty hopeful that he was going to get what he wanted, yet sounding too powerful for Marky to disobey. Marky wasn't really the kind of person who bows before anyone, but hell, he was talking to the son of the country's president!
"Sure, but I'm afraid my cousin, Sandy, wouldn't want to share a house with a stranger. Especially a man. She's got issues with them."
Rafael could not help to draw out a sly grin from his lips. He was glad he made a very good timing.
"I may be able to handle that," he replied, feeling so certain while Marky was beginning to feel doubt about Rafael and why he insists on staying at the penthouse instead of their hotel's suites at Bella Amor resort.
