A Demon's Redemption

Chapter Two : Hell's Council and Banishment

I was exhausted by the long day.How did human students deal with that for 12 years? And instead of getting closer to my goal I only got more questions

I layed down on my couch for once glad that I wasn't raised by my father unlike my brothers.I never acted like a prince unlike my brothers.

Was Clirk the Vampire King? From my knowledge of vampires,only the old ones who aren't able to resist sunlight can resist blood,but I had heard that the Vampire King could do both.

That would explain what I saw during lunch.

I knew what it would mean if he really was the Vampire King.Everything he said would have been true.

One of the many servants barged into the room

 " Master,the Hell Council wants to see you right away"

What did those assholes want with me?

" Why? I have done nothing to be summoned to them.Just because my mission isn't completed doesn't mean I'm not working on it "I asked

The servant fidgeted before he responded 

" I didn't ask them sir"

I sent the servant out and walked through the hallways.Reaching one of the many holes used to get into the palace I shot up and started going up to the highest level of Hell.

Before any of you guys tell me isn't Hell just fiery flames,let me just point out my father started that rumor.In fact Hell is like your world but instead of buildings we live in the ground.

On my way up,I flew past other demons running errands to help keep our realm a more perfect version of the human realm.There were demons giving tours to the newer demons and some demons were carrying crates.

I reached the one council in Hell's entrance (Which is basically just a fancy hole.Yes,that's a thing )

By now I understood why the Hell Council had summoned me.I knew I could expect a punishment of sorts seeing how I willingly sat nearby an angel.If I include the fact that I might have desired something with the human girl.

That girl had me barely breathing, afraid if I did I would expose my true self.Only I didn't desire her blood like the vampire in Twilight.I craved her innocence,it hung around her like a cloak.

If they knew about that,they would banish me from Hell.

I jumped down the hole where the Hell's Council resided

When I landed the servant's eyes widened."I'll go get the masters and tell them that you're here.Just wait here."

How many times did a servant have to crush on me?It happened everytime I was summoned here throughout my childhood.

"The sooner I get this over with the better.I assume that they are waiting for me"

She shifted nervously " I-I'm not so sure they would be okay with that"

Ignoring her,I pushed my way through the doors.The only reason why I didn't delay coming there was because I was hoping my father would be there.

He wasn't

"I didn't expect you to come here so quickly.Every other time we summoned you,you took your sweet old time like the little fucker you are."

I knew that voice,I hated that lord the most.Lord Hork was always trying to find ways to banish me.

"I only hoped that for once my father would be here.I think you could understand that."

Lord Hork smiled,with a gleam in his eyes that told me that he knew something I didn't."I wouldn't be so quick to assume.I think you may see him if you look behind you"

Following his advice,I looked backwards to find that my father and my mother were entering the room.

" Satan's youngest son,the one called Demon, has been summoned here to discuss his actions from today in what the humans call Myth Study.May the defendant come before the whole court for judgement." Lord Zeke said.He was the least vocal judge,but the one who led the council since the time of the Demon Boss.

Before I could speak up,my father stepped forward.

"Before he does may I be told what his actions were?I will decide if it's worth a hearing or not.You can not expect anyone not even myself to find that human within 6 hours all the while they have to act like a human student"

"Your son desires a human.He also willingly sat nearby an angel.You know he has broken the most important laws we have."

Lord Hork was always so quick to try and get me punished.

"Let him explain.Who knows if it helped him get closer"

After my entire childhood he now is defending me.He's just trying to take credit for my work.

I walked forward,making my wings and horns appear. " The human is tempting for me,if you were there you would have desired her too.And the angel gave me information about something my father did to the Demon Boss."

"And what would that be?I'm sure you're lying your ass off right here"

It seemed like my father never told them

.I was telling them the news that would change everything

 " My father killed the Demon Boss"

"Lord Satan, is this true?You killed the best leader Hell ever had?" Lord Zeke demanded

"Yes it's true.But before I killed him he went back in time and faced Darkness.If he stayed alive he would of eventually ruined us "

I didn't believe this shit for a minute

"How do we know that the angel was telling Demon the truth ? We all know angels are not to be trusted.They hate our kind.No offsense Lord Satan"Lord Hork accused.

" If he's connected to the Vampire King and trusts him then I would believe he's trustworthy."

It surprised me that I was defending Stark,but I had to for Cassie and for the greater good.

"And what evidence is that?I want proof that vampire is telling the truth to my son"

Looks like that asshole is afraid of what they told me

"He can resist blood and sunlight.Only the Vampire King can do that.I assume he is the Vampire King himself."

What the fuck was I doing?Going this way if I got banished then they would know all of this information.

My father sighed

"I'm sad to say this and do this to my youngest son.But from now on he is hearby banished from Hell."

He didn't feel shit about this.

"Before I get banished just let me grab my shit.After that I will come here right away"

If those assholes were gonna banish me then I was gonna have allies before I go.

"You may grab your belongings,and no messing around."

I hated them all.

I walked out of the room , shoving my way past the clutter of servants in the lobby.Reaching the exit hole I flew out and back to the palace.

Once there instead of flying through the hallways like usual I decided to walk.If this was going to be the last time I would be here then I wanted to take in the surroundings.The paintings of the time before my father ruled.The murals that showed the uneasy truces between us demons,vampires and angels.My most favorite picture was the one of the Vampire King,The Angel Queen and the Demon Boss.

In the myths it told us that before the Demon Boss became what he was,he was just a regular human.A human who liked writing.He wasn't bad at it unlike everything else.His best friend later became the Vampire King.The Angel Queen didn't appear in his life until after he fell.The spot that would later become the Garden of Eden.

I finally reached my room.

When I opened the door I had been opening all my life there was a figure on my bed

The silver hair,the scent of an angel.

Stark

Stark was in my room and on my bed.

Which was in Hell.

How did he gain access to Hell, most of all, the palace?

Unless he had a secret that my father knew.

"I know you have questions.But I don't need permission from those assholes who took over after your father killed my brother.Even though he's dead,his permission doesn't prevent me from coming here."

His brother?His brother was the Demon Boss?

"You really expect me to believe you? I'm banished because you decided to talk to me. I don't want anything you can tell me."

Stark's face twisted into a look of pain.Whatever pain he felt was deserved.

"You know less then you think about why I spoke to you.You don't know mine and Cassie's plan.We expected for you to meet Adaleta but getting banished from Hell was entirely unplanned."

His and Cassie plan? They planned for me to meet Adaleta? Was my entire mission a lie?

"So you planned for everything but this? One bump in your plan and you decide to explain everything? It's like I don't even know Cassie anymore.And it's all because of you."

Up to now I had always thought I knew Cassie,but now I didn't know if I really ever known her truly.If I didn't know her then who did I really know?

" If you don't have it explained to you,then all of us supernaturals will be revealed to the humans.It has been that way since Adam and Satan both killed the Demon Boss and the Angel Queen."

Nice way to say the entire world depended on me.I was barely an adult yet.Unlike him I had never traveled farther then the human high school.

"Fine.But let me pack" I demanded.

He grabbed one of the only photos I kept from my childhood.It was just a picture of me and Cassie.I never really had friends or anyone to hang out with.

"I actually thought you would have pictures of your friends.But you didn't really have any right?"

He thought I had friends?Nobody would want to be friends with a prince whose own father didn't care for.Or at least most demons did,humans I didn't know if they would.

Stark sighed."Fine.I'm leaving now.You have the information you need know as of right now. If you see Cassie tell her I was here, only as a favor"

I didn't respond.I waited until Stark left to start packing.I packed until my suitcase was overflowing.Well,I couldn't delay any longer. I had to go and get banished.

I went to the pathway towards the Hell's Council.I flew down the hole and into the council room.There I didn't have any time to reach the middle of the room.

The next thing I knew was I was shooting up into the air and then was slowly falling.
