If I could, I'd be a snowflake
so light-weight and free
carried on the whims of the wind
If I could, I'd be a snowflake
each one individual
but with a uniform sameness, safe and calm
If I could, I'd be a snowflake
freeing kids of treacherous work
and providing them with a place of wonder
If I could, I'd be a snowflake
nature's own miracle
spreading a soft blanket for the Earth to sleep in
If I could, I'd be a snowflake
the difference between
a blizzard and a sprinkling
and even though
I would only last moments
those moments would be eternities
and when I fall safe to the ground
I would know I did my part
in making the world a better place
...To be a snowflake...

This was a really good poem! Ironically, I actually was going to write about comparing myself to a snowflake....But anyway, very well done. You used descriptive words making the poem have good imagery. Nice job!
