A song for the hopeless

by ShemlockHelmes

I think today was my birthday,
but it seems like any other day,
i guess high school was better than I thought,
being this way all alone gave me life the hard way,
Everyday i spend is like the re-run of an old show,
My life isn't planned out and time goes by so slow.

Intoxicating, Burning Grass, Fruitless Pain,
We're burning pages in history for legacies from past,
You can't live long but your gray and old,
I thought the fun that brought me painful shame,
They tossed some love and we got hooked fast,
We fell for love and together we shine gold.

The LCD flickers with people that know me,
My parents were smart when I heard what they told me,
I think this life sucks because that what i'm told,
I'm reminicing and complaining and i heard but now,
I don't know what i want so i think of this, i guess.
There's a person out there and i can't find them close,
My sneakers speak the tales i've walked until i find love.

Intoxicating, Burning Grass, Fruitless Pain,
We're burning pages in history for legacies from past,
You can't live long but your gray and old,
I thought the fun that brought me painful shame,
They tossed some love and we got hooked fast,
We fell for love and together we shine gold.

Lyrics of unknown voices flow through my life,
I don't know myself but i know my life decays,
These thoughts take me to an intoxicating dream,
What a bad dream, i'm suprised you still found me,
Diseases that became my friend, these are people i know,
A world of blank faces but yours was drawn by me,
And tonight's our death, but at least its just you and me

Intoxicating, Burning Grass, Fruitless Pain,
We're burning pages in history for legacies from past,
You can't live long but your gray and old,
I thought the fun that brought me painful shame,
They tossed some love and we got hooked fast,
We fell for love and together we shine gold.
