Loneliness

PreviousNext
Just simply waiting,
as the time ticked by.
The world a mere buzz,
faded to the background.

It's scary,
how even there were so many others,
there was no one.
Not one, out of the hundreds.

I'm just waiting,
thinking, imagining.
What would it be like,
if I had someone with me?
Someone I can shared my secrets with,
someone I can give my heart to.
Would this world stil be this dull? If there were someone with me.

I would watch,
as a bird took to the sky.
I would watch,
as the leaves fallen to the ground melted into the mud.

Pretending I was not sad,
pretending I was not alone.
When I was,
I was.

There is an emptiness in my heart.
Even as I stood, as I spoke,
inches of me was being hollowed.

Knock, knock.
Who's there? Standing at the door of my heart.

There were no replies,
for loneliness does not speak.
