Hi Raven.
Why do you always ask how I am? I always tell you I’m good. I didn’t talk to my X today. I’m trying to stay away from him. He gets me so angry! He says the stupidest things! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, Raven, you know I don’t want to be with him! I would rather be with you! I’m sorry, I just didn’t realize that it bothered you so much. Please speak up more. I’m not a mind reader you know ;D.
REALLY????? I’ll definitely call you later!!!!!!!! Oh, you make me so happy!!!!
***I^o^I***
Hmm. I just realized that I probably wont know what to say on the phone. I mean, we write to each other almost every day. Well, every time you don’t have homework. I don’t like your teachers giving you so much homework. That’s dumb. OH!!! That reminds me… how do you say ‘bear’ in Japanese? Wasn’t it like ‘Kuma’ or something? I know, I should probably know more, since I am part Japanese…
Anyway…
What do you want to be when you’re older? What’s your favorite color? Are there any temples in Osaka? I’m so curious!!!
Ah… was that too many questions? *smiles meekly* I keep forgetting that you hate too many questions. *Katie imagining you torching the computer*
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Raven, I don’t hate you. Our countries did terrible things to each other, I know. I don’t blame you for what happened. That isn’t fair to either of us.
That reminds me… I heard that there was some tension between you guys and Russia. I hope there isn’t any war. Please be careful mon ami.
I want to talk to you later.
Crap. Got to go.
~Katie

I don't understand what you mean. Why are they writing to eachother? Or... something else?
I really like the ideas behind this letter, but I was wondering, what's the purpose of it. Telling a one-sided story through letters is an interesting technique, but perhaps you could explain a bit about why it's being written.
