Love's eternal

by ScottieRAWR

Time's a destroyer, that's one certain thing,

She blunted the blade's of great empires

All feel her pull, mortals and their buildings.

Lost the legends of all the great liars.

Time, the fifth Horseman, a bringer of Death.

The unstoppable force, taker of life

She can make us act like men posessed,

For some, she adds to our great, painful strife.

Few things survive Time. Some demons like mine.

My demons aside, your beauty survives.

No mortal can live through Death's scythe and Time

Your beauty, captured in this poem, thrives

As long as men read, your beauty lives on.

And your love, of course thrives, when thought upon.

I still like it. The depth of it is cool.

It's kind of all over the place. Really no offence. Didn't get much of anything about it really and, to be frank, it was kind of like a chore for me to reach the end.

Not the greatest piece you've ever written, yet again, it was just words. No feeling. Give us some feeling man!

It might be me, but the poem doesn't really make a lot of sense to me. I fail to see connection between most of the lines and that doesn't make it easy/fun to read for me.

All feel her pull, mortals and their buildings.

Lost the legends of all the great liars.

Time, the fifth Horseman, a bringer of Death.

No idea what you meant with that part, but that might just be my own lack of poem-reading experience.

The first 2 lines set me thinking though, but I won't be bothering you with my thoughts.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to think of this poem. :[
