Eruption

A fire within her burns-
Like the infernal rage of hell.
How long will it stay,
Cooped up inside?
Bound by the weakest
of chains?
Contained in a
cardboard box?

She remains determined
Not to let it overcome her.
She puts on a fake smile,
Cracks a joke here and there.
But no... No... Rage will
Overcome sometime soon.
She can't hold it back
Out of its rightful place-
At the foremost of her mind.

That's the day she craved-
To let it all out.
She pitied all present
As witness to the explosion
Of a thousand year dormant volcano.
The lava pouring out-
The words from her mouth-
Will burn them for life.
The ash that shoots off to the sky-
The things she'll make them see-
Will blind them for eternity.

Poetry and prayer are very similar.
