There are important things that you should learn about the killer. One is that he is amazing at mind Games and the other is that he is afraid of the dark. Everyone has weaknesses.
Looking for a killer is not as easy as you think it is because they are so many factors that come with it but people don’t know that. But honestly, it’s okay because the less dumb people know about serial killers then that’s honestly for the better for everyone in the industry of killers and crime. The last thing we need is nosy people thinking they can solve crimes and catch a killer. What losers. But once again everyone has a weakness and most people have this overconfident arrogance and aggravating factor that they think they can catch a killer but truthfully they can’t. They should let me do my job. It’s best to stay anonymous when I’m doing my job. In a way serial killers and detectors has something in common. Did you know that most serial killers actually do everything because they want to be caught? They leave clues and wait to see if anyone is smart enough to pick up on them. But unfortunately most people don’t. Everyone on this earth are mindless and they just stumble through life and are completely unaware of anything even if it’s staring at them in the face. In fact, you’re probably not smart either and haven’t picked up on any clues either. Yes you the reader. But every story must come to an end, so this is where my story ends. But wait, don’t leave me alone. I’m scared of the dark but did you pick that up? After all It’s the first thing that I told you about myself.

The repetition of "my job" here really took me out of the story f.e.I came here in my duties as the Afterwatch to check out your short story!
First of all I like the stream of consciousness you've got going. It really reads like some sorta blog entry or rant of an anonymous... something (not sure if we are dealing with a "detective" here and not an actual killer...)
That said, I feel like you could tighten up the writing in some places.
I also feel like while the general vibe of the story is impeccable... there also isn't really a central plot point to dance around? It sounds more like the prelude to a larger story than a finished product in on itself?
