Tell me that you love me,
I'll never let you go.
Tell me that you love me,
No one has to know.

Say that you want me,
I'll always hold you tight.
Say that you want me,
I won't let you go without a fight.

Call me your's forever,
Never break my heart.
Call me yours forever,
We'll never be apart...

-Note : Couldn't decide if this was a love poem for a first dance, or a farewell poem for a lovers last dance. Comments?

I loved this poem I wish it was just a bit longer I would love to turn this song into a poem it deserves it the rhyme scheme is perfect for it. I need to read more of your work if it's all of this caliber.

earendil - i realize this poem does lack real emotion. i wasn't sure how to put more emotion into it, so I apologize.

Whether it's for a first dance or a last dance is up to the reader I suppose. Sounded more like a first dance in my opinion; I'd expect a last dance to be much more dramatic/emotional.

The subject/style isn't my usual cup of tea, but overall I thought this was good. Very simple, very short and to the point, which makes it easy to comprehend. My only criticism is that the impact of the piece as a whole seemed to lack that emotional appeal. Obviously that's just my personal opinion, so you don't necessarily have to agree, but it is something for you to consider looking at and perhaps fix. Other than that, like I said, good write. Keep it up.
