No matter how I tried to read this critically, it just wouldn't come.
I could only read it casually, taking it for what I see it as, rather than what it is intended to be. Perhaps they areone and the same. Perhaps not.
In any case, I enjoyed reading this--
You used much symbolism, which is always fun, especially when left vague and separated from the other syumbols in the poem, for it allows room for further interpretation, letting the reader make of it what they will.
The best thing I liked about this poem?
Emoceans.
That word is so cool. Nice work, Incandescence.

First, I'm glad you liked it; second, I'm not surprised the point wasn't conveyed in a very clear, precise manner. Something I'm beginning to take notice of is the way I refer (i.e. self-plagiarize) to my older works -- in some ways, then, I'm willing to say any one of my poems is "incomplete" without reading others -- and I know that's hard to grasp. I suppose what I'm telling you is: if you have some spare time on your hands (presumably those cold, dank nights when you have insomnia), you should read through some of my older stuff (albeit bad, OTT, emo, yes, I know) and/or skim my blog; THEN you'll get a good picture of my oeuvre, and you can (hopefully) better judge how I'm doing. Either way, thanks for taking the time to read and respond: I used to think an aspiring poets' let-down was a harsh critique, but I quickly realized that the biggest let-down was silence.
As to Emoceans, I'll let you think about it, but the poem itself dealt alot with 'oceanic' images and the like. You know.

Wow. I loved the second stanza, espicially the part that follows:
You're descriptive words were great, as always, and the point...while not really clear...still touched me. What there even a point?
Emoceans - WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
Yes, the oatmeal dude is creepy and quite a turn off.
Re re PS: He really is--he frightens me and seems to be judging me!
Thanks for reading; I'm glad you liked it.
RE: PS: Isn't he creepy?
