It started with a fling,
It ended with a bang.
With you,
The loaded gun,
And all the false songs you sang.
Deceiving me cleverly,
Preying on my vulnerability;
No better smell than that of
This desperate heart in need.
Touching me eagerly,
Heatedly meeting your poisoned lips I failed to see;
Becoming lust's victim,
Caught too deep in the moment,
Blind to this mistake screaming right in front of me.
Convincing me of promise
That we were to become something more;
But bang goes the lies,
The bullets start to soar;
Hitting me point blank,
Blood spills on the floor.
Lifeless I lay,
Just another kill in your deceptive reality,
Just another notch on that selfish belt of yours.
But the greatest hunt has yet to be begun;
All you have to do is face your reflection
And pull the trigger:
Because you're nothing more than a loaded gun.

Thank you, Amberla93! And yes, I felt multiple emotions while writings this; heartbroken, disappointed, sad, and angry. The inspiration from this poem actually comes from someone I tried to get close with intimately/romantically, but whom ended up deceiving me in the end. However, I've moved on from that situation, and simply consider this poem an edgy work of art!
Wow, this enchanted me, frightened me, and saddened me at the same time.
I found it enchanting because of the way you worded it, I wanted to see what happened. It frightened me because it was so very full of anger. And it is sad, of coarse because he felt the need to end his life... You showed so many emotions in this, I am impressed.
Great job, I loved it.
Thank you! Sometimes, I prefer to be vague, believe it or not!
This gave me chills!
I like how you were vagualy descriptive but at the same time you potrayed your thoughts very well.
My favorite part would have to be :
Good job! I'd be interested in seeing what you write next.
Thank you very much!
This was...heartbreaking. The title captured my attention instantly. At first, I thought you would be pointing the gun at the other person, but it was a surprise how it was actually you that you pointed the gun at. I liked it. It was interesting and shocking. Good job.
