The Dog

PreviousNext

You can poop on my bed,

Or leave stains on my floor,

But I'll just leave this said,

I'll love you more and more.

My playful tumbleweed,

My grayish, brownish, pup

I'd treat you as my steed

I'd gladly saddle up.

Whenever I'd come home,

You'd stand right at the door

Your squeaky toy in tow

And piss stains on the floor.

You're a little crazy,

You nasty little runt.

Your eyes a little hazy,

All you want is some fun.

Wonderfully and keenly described ; not only the attachment but utmost loyalty as well.

Hey! SilverKnight007 at your service! Nope, just kidding... I am here to review your poem. Personally, I have never had the pleasure of owning a dog, and I used to be rather scared of them because a dog bit me on my butt on my 5th birthday, but those worries aside I have always loved dogs. I love the description of your pup. The way you propagate his many antics and how your ever-growing eternal love for this highly affectionate being came into existence is also a credible and commendable job. Well done on having written a simple, cheerful, playful and light-hearted humourous piece of poetry. Frankly speaking, for a newcomer you have done really well. I would rate this work a good 4/5 for its simple yet interesting lil twists. Thanksffor sharing this wonderful work of yours. Keep writing because I would love to see more of your work.

Welcome to YWS!!! Hope you love it here and have a great time!

Hey! Tigerlilly here for a review!

I deeply enjoyed this! It was great, how you described how we (us dog owners) have to deal with the messes the dogs make, and yet we still cant help but love them more and more.

I like how you describe your dog, its really sweet and I could almost imagine it as if I was there myself! I don't see anything wrong with this poem at all, its just very simple and sweet and I really like it. I hear you are new here, so if you were wondering how you did, I just want to let you know that you are amazing and you should really keep writing! :D
