This song has the same tune and chords as "Waltz for a Night" by Julie Delpy.
The lyrics however, are original.
A Dream for You
I close my eyes and dream.
Dream about loving you and me.
I sleep restful at night,
knowing that you are by my side.
My only nightmare is losing you.
But you're my dream catcher in disguise.
My dream come true is because of you.
You are the sunlight to my darkest sky.
I wake up to lying in your arms.
There is no place that I'd rather be.
Baby, listen to me.
You are the only one I see.
Everyone's just another face.
Everywhere just another place.
I feel right with you.
I hope that you feel it too.
Open your heart, baby, open to me.
I know that we can really be something.
I'd do anything for you, dear.
Just say the word and I'll be there.
"Love me tender and love me sweet."
My heart is yours for the taking.
I close my eyes and dream.
Dream about loving you and me.
We are meant to be.
Always forever by your side.

Hello there!
I really love this part. These two lines blended well.I really like your lyrics. It' so sweet. I like how you placed a rhyme scheme in it.
Also, I agree with "Fight", why just not say a random(but beautiful) name to finish off your lyric, in that way, it wouldn't be awkward to read the ending in a manner like this:*whisper name*, right?
Keep writing!
Peace out!
Hello
I have never heard the song you referred to but I think you lyrics rock! I love the flow, it's effortless. And they are honest. I think most lyricists today forget that aspect and so most songs about love these days are starting to get a bit tacky. Good job.
Hi i haven't heard "Waltz for a night" but i'll do my best to reveiw your lyrics anyway. this was good and sweet and all but it lacked the general structer of a song. you know, intro, verse, chorus, ect. but that doesn't mean it's bad, its just that i don't like reading lyrics that lack that sort of clear out lining - but thats just me.
i think this would be better as I sleep restfully/peacefully at night
this is by far my favourite bit
um... since an actual song wouldn't say 'whisper name' why don't you just make up a nice name to put in?
anyway, overall i liked it
