You're hot, no doubt about it
I'm not, and you could tell
So you went for me
Thinking it would be easy
But you just don't know me
This has happened before
And you were the unlucky one
To try riding the wrong horse
I'm bulletproof and now you're scared
You thought you had control but now you know
The harsh words and bruises on my arms
Are reminding me just who you are
And without tears in my eyes
I'm pulling out of your drive
All you got now left of me
Is a red mark on your cheek
Bet you didn't see that coming
Cause you're so out of it
Bet you're surprised I could
Do such an awful thing
Ha, Well, I guess now you know!
I'm bulletproof and now you're scared
You thought you had control but now you know
The harsh words and bruises on my arms
Are reminding me just who you are
And without tears in my eyes
I'm pulling out of your drive
All you got now left of me
Is a red mark on your cheek
Oh, I'm bulletproof, now you're scared
You thought you had control, now you know
All you got left o me is a red mark on your cheek
Just a red mark on your cheek
On a very basic level and overall aspect, this song reminds me of my 11-13 year old phase of songwriting based on a familiar but not-so similar experience that "someone thought they were better than me." But this is a much better version in the sense that it's got verses and a chorus. It's followable and simple enough to the degree that it could be easily embedded into the mainstream pop music because it's conveniently repeatable enough where it blends and gets stuck in ones mind. In today's society on social media platforms, I think it could become a popular trending sound on Tik Tok. I don't know - that's what immediately came to my mind.
But! If I dive deeper into this song and truly listen/read the lyrics, I think this song is really meaningful and powerful. It would definitely go on a villian/revenge pov (point of view) playlist. It's a badass theme song to something that's for sure. Anyway, I like this song, but there could be improvement, yet I know you probably wrote this based on feelings/emotions and not worried about the skill or nitty-gritty songwriting details - maybe, possibly. It came from the heart and I think that's the most meaningful thing about it.

HOWDY!!!! lol:3
ok, first off this is the best thing ever written in my opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! because i mean its basically (at least from what i understand) about how ssome boy who thinks he better then oreo poptarts, wants to use his looks and his "charm" to get into her pants? (am i right) i loved this because it put the tells everyone who reads this that there is still girls the have morals and good judgement!
Second!
"The harsh words and bruises on my arms Are reminding me just who you are" i didnt really get. i mean are you saying he tried to force himself on you? or something totally and completely different? i have no idea! i think if you make that a little more blunt and obvious then more people would get what you're trying to say there; i mean i got it because i read the rest of it but still!
Thirdly! i like the title and the whole 'hahaha bet you didnt see that coming you (fill in the blank)'!!! kind of thing you know? i mean there is (fill in the blankets) lol in the world but they have no right what so ever to treat any body like this not even for a second, so when i read tht the character or the your veiw of things happened and you/ her slapped him i just about screamed "h*ll yes you show him girl" at my computer! *sigh* yes i know weird..... anywhooooo i was really good keep at it chica and dotn givee up because i would be sad to see talent (that im jealous of by the way) go to waste!
freaking-fantastic-wonderful-awesome job!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
This is so old I forgot about it haha. But yeah this wasn't a true story but it was about someone that thought they were better than me. Which reading it now makes me realize how my last relationship was the same... but thank you for the encouragement! I haven't wrote lyrics in a while but eventually I might again. I'm concentrating on writing fiction novels right now
