The Forgotten prayer
Many will follow in the footsteps of the past
never truly knowing what lies ahead
ooh and the pain and suffering of the millions
shall not sway them from their bed
You have died and shed your blood and tears
so as to save us from our sins
Oh Lord they Do not see because they are blinded
And so I say with A new found wisdom
Hear our plea across the new Horizon
Hear our plea with love intent
Hear our hopes and dreams bound lord
hear the cry of a newborn child
See the innocence in a young girls eyes
You gave us the breath of life the air that sustains us
The unseen wind that fills the skies
They do not see the power and the Majesty
because they are in fearful uncerntainty
I am not a saint nor do i claim to see
but one thing in my heart i know
is your ever Present and loving grace
your love is like an endless ocean
It wraps around me with it's warm embrace
It arrives on doves wings endowed with purity
knowing you are there to lift me from my sin and disgrace
there is no need to plea insanity
For you guide me in the right direction
And send your angels to guard over me
In a manner of a righteous election
you Win my heart my soul my mind and every fibre of my essence
And now I say with this new found wisdom
I know you are here in my heart with your staying presence
Hear our plea Oh Lord
Hear it loud across the new Horizon
and hear the heartfelt prayers
our hearts opening onto you Lord
Let our voices be heard across the Horizon
and Hear our souls come alive today oh Lord
as it Ascends High above the heavens
Hear us now upon our bed we pray
And Know we still love your word today
Okay I know it does NOT rhyme throughout But it is just A Prayer to Jesus in the Form of a poem

I liked it a lot.
I can see the passion and the fire burning in you.
It's a beautiful poem just as it is. And what made it even more beautiful that it came from the heart.
And that's all that matters.
Keep it up. Keep the fire burning.
God bless.

i agreed with some of the posts above. it was a very difficult poem to read. I'm not sure if it was becuase of the punctuation or lack of "doing" nothing of significance really happened, nothing captivating. the verbs were mostly bland like hear, see, are, is, give, etc.. it seems like more of attempt to make it into psalms then to make meaning of your real religious beliefs. Its very evident you are dedicated to Jesus and thats cool. and this might be how you really express your 2,000 year old thoughts. but i'd say personalize it. your good at english, just make it real.
I didn't bother to check out what other people said, like I tend to do. This awed me so much that I didn't want anyone else to ruin it for me.
While some of us aren't religious and may have a problem with this, they should have taken from the title that it was and stayed away. Who cares what they think? We all have freedom here.
This was... amazing. I don't really know what else to say. It seemed to fill me with a certain brightness.
The first lines
were truly good. I loved them! Then it went on and caught me. I really did like it a lot. I really love poetry and this was a really great piece, flowing and rhythmic but not overly rhyming (I hate when people try to rhyme too much. For you, it seems to come natural...
Keep writing!!!

First of all, I think religious poems should spare cliches. Especially with a poem like this.
Second of all, attempt at using proper grammar! It's very hard to read without it! It gets very distracting.
Third of all, this poem it quite boring. There isn't much happening. Just a series of cliches (to quote another review).

Thanks You errtu2
I forget sometimes THAT not all People are religious OR share the same views as I do
Next time i shall hold my tongue
maybe some day it will be a ,message of Hope to others whom share the faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
I am not here to preach (although it may seem so) So forgive me for MY naivety
First, arent all prayers poems, kinda.
Second, check out the psalms if you want some religious poetry
Third, it is impossible to really review such and atavistic poem without hurting anybody. Specifically you. I have noticed that people on this website usually spared very emotional or religious pieces much lampooning in the form of ignoring it. This poem to me seems a bit like a series of religious clichés or a collage of prayers from a CVS prayer book.
Fourth, if you got this far thanks for reading the review and it does take a lot of courage to put a piece like this up, to bare your nervous system so all of us can stare and talk about it. So, what i mean is, thank you for your honesty and courage.
Keep it up, Keep it right up
