I'm still trying to understand the deeper meaning of poetry. I have a friend who loves poetry but when she shows it to me I don't understand. Then she explains it to me and I see the deeper meaning and how beautiful it really is. Or sometimes how it shows deep personal encounters. Or you just express your feelings. Could you please leave a short description for me?
Nice job!:) -Neonmask
Alright. Second line "I can only wonder what YOU'RE thinking" people make that mistake all the time, your is a possessive word, while you're is a compound word: you are.

This is more like a diary entry than a poem. I think it is kind of...straightforward, while poems are meant to be more vague and mysterious. It just doesn't have the flow of a poem, or the foundation. Maybe try looking up some poems on the internet, you can always learn more from your resources. Anyway, practice does make perfect!
Needless to say, this poem was really sweet.
Toodles.
Ah! Sweetness! I almost started crying this was awesome for a free verse poem XD

Your grammer was spot on and punctuation was NICE (I'm like the punctuation poliece). It is a little generic but I till love it, just remember poetic devices are called such cause they are made for poets like us to use I AM A HUGE FAN OF ADJECTIVES !
Keep it up

Okie dokie, it's ok that you are a little rusty. However, I feel that this poem is SO generic that I feel like I have read this a hundred times. There is nothing in here to make it stand out. A way to do this is interjecting imagery. This can be accomplished through interesting and unique metaphors and similes.
This is a hard topic, and because of such it is difficult to find a unique way to convey these feeling across to the reader.
Grammar was up to par and I didn't catch any mistakes. Thanks for actually capitalizing what need to be capitalized and adding punctualization. Great job with that.
With a little more work and getting back into the swing of things, your poetry will improve. I don't mean to be harsh, just honest. Good luck and keep writing.

Thanks for all the great reviews
I really appreciate it
I'm glad that you liked it!
Oh hi there c:
The length of this most definitely caught my eye, I love short poems, a lot a lot. But anywhoo, my best try at a good review.
I like how you have started it with "When I look at you" in fact this line has stuck a song in my head, ahaha. But it really drew me in read I read the second line. That one was just great and I loved i heaps.
"Maybe that you like me too?
We like all the same things,
But I can never tell,
Even after all this time,
If you even like me,
Maybe you do,
Maybe you don't,"
This is great, because its dealing with worry, doubt, and denial. You have really put a lot of emotion into these lines. Making them absolutely wonderful. I can't see the point you are trying to get across. Your words made it flow great and easy to read through.
"I can live with these feelings,
As long as we're still friends."
I just love how you end it, every great poem need a strong ending, and for me, you did that.
This is a great poem. keep u the great work, I'll look for more of your stuff!

Okey Dokey, CM here with a quick revieeweeeeeeew.

First off, Welcome to YWS! I know you're going to enjoy it here, as I can already see potential blooming.
Next. I liked the poem a lot. A lot of poems I read here are very lyrical, like you can sing it in your head and it fits right into a song. This one wasn't very lyrical, which was refreshing. Raw words and reflected emotion. I, personally, can really connect with this poem, and I think a lot of people will. Definitely potential.
When I look at you,
I can only wonder what your thinking,
Maybe that you like me too?
Liked this part a lot. What's he thinking? You never know...
We like all the same things,
But I can never tell,
Even after all this time,
If you even like me,
The 'even' felt seriously out of place for some reason.
Maybe you do,
Maybe you don't,
I can live with these feelings,
As long as we're still friends.
I think this last line wasn't a good end. It begged to be continued, so if this is the end it just didn't wrap it up enough for me. Maybe it's just me.
Well, I hope this helped (although it probably didn't) and welcome to YWS!! PM me for any questions or anything
~CM
"what your thinking" should be "what you're thinking"
This is a really easy to relate to which i like.. however it's not necessarily super poetic, though it does have a lot of potential. Try adding some more repetition or parallelism(especially with all the "i can"s) and breaking it up into a few stanzas would be good i think.
It is a very good poem though in that is very to the point. I like that you said exactly what you feel, what you think, without sugar-coating or hiding it behind anything other than what it is you're trying to say.
Nice job and keep writing! -Heather
