Where Inspiration Hides...

It hides in the rain
Running down my window,
In the toys
I refuse to throw out

It hides under tree
Where a loved pet is buried,
In the petals of a flower
Closing for the night

It hides in the pages of a journal
That was written years ago,
In the folds of a tshirt
I wore to death

It hides in the lyrics
Of my favourite song,
Between the covers
Of my favourite book

It hides in the corners
Of my very own brain
Just waiting
To be discovered

Hello :D

If you do not mind (although it will be too late by the time I have submitted this) I would like to review your poem. So here we go

[b]What I notice about the poem is there is no punctuation. You need to read through it all again, and add in puctuation which is most likely to be commars and fullstops.
Also I am unsure about the flow of your piece because, there are not the same amount of sylobals on each line of the poem that corrospond to each different verse. This makes the poem unable to flow properly so you need to edit that.
But dispite that your use of words is good and your language is very good to, because it really gives us a sense of what is going on.

For me this poem could really work if you just put together the little bits and pieces that need adding and altering.

Good job, I hope you continue!

Wow, i really, really liked this.

It's one of those ideas that if written wrongly could turn into a cliched, boring poem. But i think you did it well, it was nice to read and flowed well.

Ok favourite lines time :

"In the folds of a tshirt
I wore to death"

I love it, everyone has one of those t-shirts and just thinking to write that is brilliant!
to be honest, most of your poem could be my favourite. It's well thought out and it doesn't falter anywhere. Totally great!

thanks for reviewing my poem.

You know how you said it would sound better with an "a" in that sentence?
Well, it's supposed to have one there...it was just a typing error! Oops!

I'm glad you liked it and I will edit it now so it sounds better and like it was supposed to

I really enjoyed reading this poem. :D It's eloquent and full of great imagery. I especially love the idea you convey. The title summarizes it, but the poem describes it beautifully.

I really only saw one thing wrong with it.

It hides under tree
Where a loved pet is buried,
In the petals of a flower
Closing for the night

I think it would flow better if you say "It hides under a tree" because that's more like what you would say in a conversation.

It hides in the corners
Of my very own brain
Just waiting
To be discovered

I love this stanza! And I totally agree; inspiration is often within us if we would only seek it out.

Wonderful poem! Keep on looking for inspiration and keep writing :D
