Lane had left shortly after handing her the file, and now she stood alone on this glistening road. The nearest person a few miles down from her current position. She had long since removed her Saxophone, and melted down into a Bo, which she now held in her hand. She placed it down, and opened the file. It contained the usual info for a recruiting mission: Age, height, weight, time period, current place of resisdency, life led so far. Clara skipped all that though, and and went to what really mattered, status of awakening, and how it occurred.
While Lane had said before that this Liz kid was unawakened, she never really put much faith in him regarding info. Especially after that one time....she shuddered at the memory. However, this time it seemed that he was telling the truth. The blue eyed beaut groaned in frustration, this just got ten times harder. After all who would believe a stranger's outlandish tales without seeing proof for themselves, and if she's unawakened she doesn't have 'the sight' to see the proof. She continued to read on, this time about life led so far, maybe if she knew the kind of person this kid was sher could convince her about the road.
She got about halfway through before two childlike hands poping seemingly out of no where slipped the file out of her hands. The ravenette spun around quickly and ce face to face with a 10 yr old about 5 ft tall with short brown hair, and hazel eyes wearing a jester costume. He held the file in his hands, head already deep in the file with an almost comical amount of concentration.
"Hey Clara!" He said, his voice high pitched, "Whatcha readin'?"
"Syd! Give it back!" Syd, short for Sydney, however, just continued reading. Even when the musician made a swipe at him he continued to read, all the while dodging every swop she took at him.
"Ooooooh a recruit mission file!" He said mockingly, dodging a few more swipes, "Liz Hollow." He read allowed, "Is this ours?"
Clara froze, 'Did he just say "ours"?'
"What do you mean 'ours'?" She asked, a wicked grin danced to life on the 10 yr olds face.
"That cyclone for brains never told you, did he?" She didn't answer, but her silence the only answer that maniacal little brat needed, his grin widened. "We're teammates!"
She glared, but her anger was anchored towards, as Syd called him, the cyclone for brains. Honestly, how could Lane not tell her she was being paired with this little ball of hell. Not only was Syd annoying, "Don't worry sweet cheeks, if your flame burns out I'll fire it back up for ya." But he was also perverted. Clara sighed, this is what happens when your body doesn't age. Your mentality does instead, with a possibility of a maturity decrease.
"Hmmmmmmm," her thoughts of killing Lane were halted, "it says the target's unawakened."
"Your point?" She asked.
"Won't that be a problem?" He asked as he sat down to lay on his back.
"Yeah well I was in the middle of reading this kid's history to find away to convince her when someone decide to take the file away from me." Her voice was laced in annoyance.
"No I mean she probably won't be able to come without gaining 'the sight'." Ignoring her annoyance.
"Is this your first time recruiting an unawakened?" He blushed in embarrassment, "Wait, really?!" Clara was genuinely shocked.
"Shut up!" His cheeks glowed brighter as the girl tried to contain her chuckles.
As her chuckles died down she finally spoke, "Oh man!" She wiped away a tear, and Syd pouted, "Anyways, if you shock them enough that usually does the trick."
"Are we going by flames or teleporting?" He asked still a little peeved.
"Teleportation, my flames are too flashy." She stated calmly.
"Fine grab my arm." She nodded, and picked upher Bo. Then she grabbed Syd's arm and they faded out.

Hi, Markontheworld. This is Pinkie here for a review.

I like this chapter. This is very interesting to me. You gave the descriptions into each paragraph which it gave me a image in my head while I read it. You has some good characters on here. They are very interesting and realistic! I enjoyed this novel already.
However, you got some nitpicks or grammar errors on here. Well, Kanome did that one so...I will leave it.
Anyway, I love to read more from you. I will wait the next chapter. Have a nice day!
Great Job!
Cheers
Your reviewer, Pinkiegirl13
Thank you! I know my grammar sucks! =^_^=
Hello.
Kanome here with a review for you.
I like this chapter so far. I don't think I read the first chapter. I don't remember honestly.
From the looks of it though, this is well-detailed and the imagery is on point. Now I believe my nitpicks are in order...
Nitpicks:
- This sentence... I don't exactly know what you meant by this, but probably you can explain it to me?
I can tell she was meeting up with someone, but I found it confusing when you wrote this sentence this way. Probably consider revising this?
- I saw a typo in here. A quick, easy fix, so nothing major.
Popping - Popping
Other than that, this is an amazing story so far.
Keep it up.
I can't wait to read more of this.
Thanks! You did read ch1 remember Kirito
