Teardrops fall to soak my sholulders

by Lindsaroo

A single drop of moisture
Rolls down my cheek
And falls down
To die on my shoulder.

The pattern repeats
Over and over
Until my shoulders are soaked
And my eyes burn red.

It happened so quick
And I didn't know.
I thought it was a good day
And nothing could go wrong.

You held him close
While he was sick
And didn't bother
To tell me he was dying.

And didn't call me
To tell me you were
Going to end his pain
You just killed him.

I hadn't seen him in weeks
And now I never will.
You could have given me
A chance to say bye.

Now I can't speak
Without the teardrops coming
And falling onto my shoulders
As I weep for my loss.

I know you meant well
And you feel bad
But he was my pet.
My Rupert.

Oh, is this about your dog? I'm pretty sure it is, but I figured I'd check.

Because I know the whole life thing, I kind of get what's going on, and I like it. I've never heard someone write something so...sad, about their pet. It's good though, full of emotion.

Love you Linds!
*hugs*

nice poem, yet sad in a strange strange way.

Rolls down my cheek
And falls down
To die on my shoulder.

The pattern repeats
Over and over

And my eyes burn red.

It happened so quick
And I didn't know.

Without the teardrops coming

i liked this even tough it was sad, and i couldnt wait to find out who went upstairs if you know what i mean.

I know you meant well
And you feel bad
But he was my pet.
My Rupert.

this shocked me because i love pets. but in a good way, i liked it a lot.
i just dont know if its a REAL pet like a dog or cat, or is it like a human?

nice job!

I think it was good.
Rupert. Are you reflecting Ron in harry Pottor?

A single drop of moisture
Rolls down my cheek
And falls down
To die on my shoulder.

I really liked this. It tells us something has happened immediately.

The pattern repeats
Over and over
Until my shoulders are soaked
And my eyes burn red.

It was good. I think this helps indicate the pain that she has to endure.

You held him close
While he was sick
And didn't bother
To tell me he was dying.

Who is this person they are talking about? I love it. Who are you talking about?

I know you meant well
And you feel bad
But he was my pet.
My Rupert.

Ha Ha. Rupert. Sad of course, but funny.

I think this is good and can't wait for your next one. :)
