When I tell you I am afraid of airplane travel,
Don’t say the chances I’ll die in a car crash are much higher.
Never let me in on how many people die from heart attacks,
Don’t compare the numbers of death.
Tell me instead of how high my chances are
I’ll live to see my grandchildren play.
Let me know how many people survive this day and night,
Tell me everything will be all right.
“There is approximately a 99,9999 percent success rate.
Honey, there is no reason to be afraid.”
And I know, I am perfectly safe,
But I will still fear my faith.
Please help me see how ridiculous my fear is.
But also accept it for what it is because
The chances of winning the lotto are also insignificant
But we all still buy tickets and someone is bound to win.

Hello,
This is a very nice poem. Beautiful writing, but may I suggest avoiding the use of contractions. Contractions are okay if it has anything to do with the rhyme or rhythm of the poem but if it is avoidable then just state the full words.
"There is approximately 99,9999 percent success rate."
I think shoud be 99.9999. Otherwise in my opinion it is a very lovely poem, good job!
In the US, people use commas instead of periods to denote the number placement. Just an FYI.
And the other way around as well.
Yeah, I have figured that out lately. i am sorry.

I liked how you wrote about this subject. About fears. It's really good, and I loved the way you described it in your poem.
I really liked your poem, but when you say 99,999 I think you mean 99.999, but most people round it off and just say... 99, 99.9, or 99.99. It just makes life easy, but it's whatever you think would fit best.
You need a little help with your punctuation, but everyone does so... That's a very common mistake.
I really liked your poem, and I hope you write more.
Keep up the great writing,
Love

Hello Lieke!
What a nice writing we have here.
First I would like to comment on the approach you choose for the subject: How we would like people to react to our fears. The idea is simple, but deep. I liked the way you wrote about it.
Through your writing I could remember all the times people would not respect a point of view.
Sometimes we just want to share and be understood about something, not to prove a point.
Your first paragraph show how people automatically react to different opinions. They show their beliefs and try to convince us to be like them. On the second paragraph you ask for reassurance to the person you trust. All steps are clear.
The last line of the third paragraph is a bridge to the real fear, which you explain on the last paragraph. It's the faith of the impossibility.
The only part I got lost was that last line, the bridge. You started with a nice flow of writing and then "boom". You threw the bridge over the flowers. You mention your faith in a vague way. If you had inverted the two last lines of paragraph 4 and ended with the other two lines (But also accept it for what it is), the bridge would have been softer. The last paragraph works well as a plead.
When I was reading I felt like I wanted more of it.
It was incomplete to me, in a really good way.
Congratulations!
HEY
dear you seem to be really feared in this poem..... it is nice but I would rather suggest you to not write negative as I am a psychology student so we often recommend people not to write or think negatively so go for a new life and write about your first experiences of things you have done till today as they will take you to sweet memories...... think smartly and positively to have a happy and exciting life..... I am not saying that its not a good poem, it is a good one, but work on something new I would suggest... well its on you that you want to do it or not........... keep smiling and live your life to its fullest.........
Hey! Cello here!
Beautiful writing. You had a great message and it was written amazingly.
You rhyme scheme threw me off a bit though. The first and last stanzas are ABCD but the middle two are ABCC. I'm always one for consistency, as it keeps the reader from getting distracted from the beauty of the writing, so I'd suggest you change it to all be the same. I was half way through the poem, really taking it all in, when I noticed the the lines rhymed, so instead of continuing to allow the poem to pull me in, I stopped to check if I had missed a rhyme in the stanza before.
First off, I think you mean 99.9999. Secondly, people usually said 99, 99.9 or 99.99. 99.9999 is just a bit of an odd number, rounding to the ten thousandths. Also, 'success rate' tends to be sued for medical procedures, not airplane rides. Maybe 'survival rate' or 'chance of surviving'.
Maybe you're not even talking about airplanes anymore and I'm just really confusedYou need a comma after 'is' instead of a period, as it's one sentence.
You need a period after 'are' in the first line. '...how high my chances are I'll live to see..." Doesn't make sense.
Make that comma after the first line a period.
I really enjoyed this and I'll definitely be checking out your other works.
