I’ve always felt like the one in the middle.
Left out, because no one asked if I wanted to join,
I feel like I just tag along, because,
No one gives me a second glance
Or asks my opinion on things.
.
Maybe they think I have
A disagreeable personality,
But I’m really just quiet.
.
Sometimes my feelings get pent up,
And everyone’s too busy to listen.
So I take my pen and write
Spill my soul on the page.
.
Writing is the way
I feel I’m someone more
Than just the plain one in the middle.
If only they knew I’m someone more.
.
But my family’s never known
My deepest secrets and thoughts.
They don’t know my strongest feelings,
And my biggest wishes,
Of things I know will come true.
.
It’s just I’m still the middle sibling.
The one not given second thoughts,
The one just tagging along.
.
I wish I was mistaken,
I wish I was not right,
But this is how I see it.
I’m the one in the middle,
It’s true~

Heyo!
First off, I really like how this is structured! It's a welcome change from what I usually see, and it's refreshing.
Secondly, I think you did a great job of getting across what you wanted to in a way that was easy to understand and from my perspective, easy to relate to. I have a similar relationship to writing, and it was nice to see someone who feels the same way I do!
This piece is short, but it flows beautifully and is easy to read and understand while also being emotional, which is something I really like.
Great work!!
Thank you so much!
wow, just wow. I have no words left to say. this poem really hit deep, because i feel exactly the same way. All I have to say is, It will get better. someday people will notice your works, and you could become the next Edgar Allen Poe, or Walter frost. You just have to believe in yourself, and make yourself be heard. You have the talent (obviously). and thats all, keep writing!

crap I meant Robert Frost
Thank you for the review and the encouragement, Emivanz!
That was so beautiful, thank you so much for sharing
Thank you for being strong and sharing how you feel. You were able to convey your feelings very well.
It sounds very flowy- as if I could say it all at once. It sound like someone’s thought process as they are reflecting on their feelings and the way and the impact they have on others. I love how it talks about you, then moves to others surrounding you, and then even talks about the future you know you can achieve.
Writing is such a blessing. It is a way to really share your thoughts and not having to be afraid of what happens once the pen meets the paper.
This was such a wonderful, wonderful poem. I wish you all the best and I can’t wait to read more in the future!!
