The Mighty Oak

The oldest memories of sprouting from earth,
Finding a path and finding a worth,
Are none without what a plant longs to be,
Nothing without the great oak tree.
With many rings and years behind,
The old oak’s influence not undefined,
Brings plants back to simpler days,
Times with a value not one could appraise.
But even the strongest, most powerful tree
Will reach an end to days of glee,
Leaving pain in the hearts of every young mind,
All from hearing the word ‘malign’.

Short and sweet. It hand a nice bouncing rhyme to it, which I really enjoyed. I'm usually not much a poetry type of person, but I must say...this was really good, and it caught my attention. From now on I'll know to look for more poetry by you! The only critique I might have is to try to make each line have the same amount of syllables, or as close as you can get.

Really interesting poem. You might try making it flow a bit more, play around with synonyms. But I really liked it! Very good :]

Hey there!

It was a really nice poem! Usually in people's poems, the rhyme seems a little forced, but over here it was just so smooth, is was very impressive. The plot of the poem clearly stood out, and I didn't have to take a sword and cut through the dense forest to find the treasure.

Finding a path and finding a worth, <- I love this line! Its has so much meaning in it and it can relate to every and anything.

So, in the end, it was a very nice poem, with good grammer, good title and more over all; a good plot.

I would really love to hear more from you.

Wow, I really like this poem.
The rhymes flowed aswell as the whole entire thing. The rhymes didn't seem forced at all which is hard for people to do, including me.

I got what the point was in this poem, and i could relate
Good Job!!
