Howling wind and pounding rain create a symphony that perfectly matches the stone gray sky. This display is soon joined by trees, cars, and even broken glass. Anything that is not tied down comes flying through the air. This chaos is always terrifying, however a hurricane can be peaceful as well as beautiful. Although a hurricane is disastrous and can be deadly, it also holds a beauty and power that should be admired as well as feared.

The power of a hurricane lies in the panic it inflicts on people. Everything about it is chaotic. A hurricane shows no mercy and can be as vicious and cruel as any bully. It literally turns your life upside down, everything jobs, homes, schools can be swept away in the storm. Once a hurricane arrives nothing is safe from its wrath.

Chaos is not the only thing a storm of this magnitude is capable of. In the center of the destruction and turmoil there is tranquility and quiet. For a moment the winds cease their howls and the rain relents. This is the eye of the storm. It is miraculous that there is peace in the havoc. It is strange that at the center of a force for destruction there is still something calm full of light and hope. A reminder that eventually the storm will end.

Hurricanes are so complex the only thing we can think to compare them to is ourselves. Every hurricane is given a name, this personification can help us understand how something can be so calm and chaotic at the same time. How a force can be both destructive and beautiful, hurricanes are so powerful and they make us feel so weak. Hurricanes are a paradox that we can only fully understand by treating them like people. After all it is easy to see how a person can be aggressive and calm, or beautiful and terrible.

Despite the confusion and desolation a hurricane brings, there is a kind of beauty in the storm. The power and strength of nature leaves everyone who was affected changed forever. The storms fury will stay in their memories forever, but they will also recall the beauty of the sunrise the next day. They will remember the sound of the wind as it swelled around them. Most of all they will remember the feeling of triumph at having survived such a powerful force.

Hi there Oswin, it's Gymnast2801 here with a review for The Black Cat Squad!

Just to let you know, I will add my overall thoughts at the end of this review because I will be reviewing as I read throught! So, without any further ado...let this review begin!

- This chaos is always terrifying, however a hurricane... -
So here, I think you need to add a coma after 'however'. You could also take away the coma after 'terrifying' and put a period, but I don't think that part really matters. Definitely more of the author's likes and decision.

- ...life upside down, everything jobs, homes, schools... -
1) Take away the coma after 'down' and replace it with a period.
2) Then add a coma after 'everything'

- A reminder that eventually the storm will end. -
Add a coma after 'eventually'

Wow, I really, really love this! I mean, you've captured a hurricane in just the right way to where the reader (no matter who they are) can find a way to entirely relate. I love your referrals, they are great! Your work flows nicely and although short, it's to the point and bitter sweet in a way. I think you could break up your paragraphs a little bit but that would be more up to you and your preferences.

I remember one time, my family had to board up for a hurricane. I was 7 at the time and I remember feeling really scared when all the windows where boarded up and the house was all dark. I remember that the hurricane didn't hit us, and we where fine in the end, not one bit of damage done to our town. But I remember how much fear something like that apcan put in a person. You could loose everything, even your own live if things get too severe. Sometimes it takes something really bad, like a hurricane, for you to realize how much you have and should be thankful for.

Well, that's about it from me! Please keep on writing!

Hi Ossie! I'll comment/review this.

There were no grammar errors as far as I could tell, and the structure.

Let me say it was easy to relate to this, an it is for anyone who's ever been through a hurricane. I've lived in the South all my life, and have seen the big storms come through, the earliest I remember being cat-4 Ivan. And now with Mathew on its way, (also a cat-4) the people from Florida to North Carolina are boarding windows, bringing in lawn furniture, tying things down and piling sandbags, and praying. Panic as you said, is almost more deadly that the force of the storm itself: terrifying people into making a mistake. I agree too, that the power of the natural wonder is beautiful in it's own eerie way. Hurricanes...something we will not soon forget.

Sorry for the rant there, but I really loved this piece. Keep up the good work, and most of all: stay safe.
