My mind was doing so well.
The paper was filling with words so perfectly.
But, suddenly, it just stops.
No warning,
no "heads up,"
not even a way to turn it into a cliff hanger.
My mind is stuck.
My brain's shut down.
Why? Why?!
Now what?
I was so close!
I was going to give this to the teacher,
I was going to show this to my friends.
They were all begging me for more,
but now I just can't give it to them.
Because what's a story with no ending?
What's a story with no answered questions?
Why? Why?!
My brain scrambles for an idea,
but nothing comes,
and nothing comes.
But, then, something does.
It's faint, but grows stronger every second.
Then, it slaps me in the face,
but it's something that is of no use to me.
Well, it at least answers my question.
Why? Why?!
Because... you're having writers block.

I'm having a hard time seeing the "poetic" sense to this. It just seems to me like you're throwing a bunch of words together it putting them into stanzas. I know all poetry is different, but it should all have a poem feel to it.
Was that an accidental rhyme?
It wasn't an actual rhyme but it was what do you call it...a constance I believe. Maybe it's ansoance. I forget
I'm not sure if I liked the way you said that twice. I can see why you did, but you shouldn't have made them two seperate lines because that takes away from the flow.
I really liked the ending. Great way to tie it all together!
Someone already posted something on here called an Ode to Writer's Block, so I'm wondering if that's why you decided to call it a "semi" Ode to Writer's Block.
Oh and by the way, it's Writer's Block, not writers block. The writer takes possession of the block
Hi-ya!!!! I'm a huge fan of writers block, because (and this piece is testament of it) when your brain halts, with no direction for where you want to go, it gives you threads. All you have to do is pull on them and unravel the story your meant to write.
