Forever to fast
To slow
So annoying
A twist of minds and souls
It exists to be a warning
A warning that nothing is eternal
Not man, not beast
Not plant, not world, not gods
Slowly it comes with no escape
To claim so much
Illud est quod.

Thanks again for your comments on my work. I decided to check out yours and I'm delighted I did. This is a really good piece. Everything you said is an adaptation of what everyone else thinks but it is your words turn it into something special. This piece is dark but honest. I admire that I also admire that you made a harsh reality sound so beautiful. I really enjoyed this piece. Keep it up x
I feel this poem was short and sweet, a bit on the dark side, like bitter chocolate! Or coffee beans more like it! (That's not a bad thing, it's good, don't worry and no it isn't sarcasm. I really like it)

The image I get is of a broken guy who is running everywhere, looking for that something, that ray of light, being conjured up and shrouded by the dark cloudy images of his own suffering, be it life. Maybe life is punching him like a punching bag, swaying to and fro like a pendulum? And the destruction or miseries he sees is a warning. Of his good moments fleeting away.
One thing that piqued me was the use of the words - "Illud est quod."
First time hearing that. Could you please decipher it for me? I'm really interested!
Keep writing.
I'm not judging. Writing to vent out emotions, I do that too and trust me, sometimes, it just does wonders!
After the vent, comes an ocean of happiness so you can bet you'll write something adventurous maybe in the future, sometimes.
Loving it! Keep writing! You have the writer's spirit dwelling within you! Use it, nurture it, let it grow and fly high.
Illud est quod, it means it is what it is in Latin, my grandfathers greatest sayings I only began to understand a year ago I like the dark chocolate idea that's nice thanks kaizenex
Hi, acm here for a review! I really liked the topic of the poem. It isn't something that you would normally think about. I just had a few things that I would change.
This is just a small typo, but I it should be too not to.
I felt like the word annoying didn't quite fit in the context. Maybe something like aggravating or irritating would fit better.
That's all I have. I really liked the poem and can't wait to see more of your poetry!
Thank you I will fix those and will do more thanks
