I was sitting here thinking,
Of words I want to say,
But they just wouldn’t come out right.
I got a piece of paper
And wrote this poem for you
My way of saying thank you
For everything you do
For always being nice to me
And standing by my side
For helping me fix my problems
And never ever leaving behind
For accepting my thoughts and feelings
Something though
You don’t understand,
For telling me
That you’ll stay by me
Gives a feeling grand
For making me laugh
And letting me cry
And saying you’d miss me
If I were to die
Everything you mean to me
You could never know,
In all ways you’ve changed my life
Ever if I try I can never show
The way you take care of me
You’re my shining star
That’s so incredible
That’s just the way you are
As long as we are living
No matter when or where
If you need me
Just call out and I’ll be there.

I'll quickly get through the nitpicks...
I think it should say 'never leaving ME behind'.
I get what you're doing, but it just doesn't sound right. Perhaps 'a grand feeling' would be better?
Just change it to 'You're so incredible' and it will be fine.
I love the last line! And the whole poem is really quite lovely. Well done on writing this, it's full of love and emotion!
This review was brought to you by Team Rocket! And here comes the theme song...
Spoiler
Like no one ever was.
To catch them all is my real test,
To train them is my cause.
I will travel across the land,
Searching far and wide.
Teach Pokemon to understand
The power that's inside
Pokemon, (gotta catch them all) its you and me
I know its my destiny
Pokemon, oh, you're my best friend
In a world we must defend......
Hey, Chips here with a review.
I liked the emotion and focus you had in your poem, it seemed as if it were really written for someone else.
I do however, have some suggestions which may be of help to you.
"I was sitting here thinking,
Of words I want to say,"
Here, I would suggest writing *wanted* to keep everything flowing in past tense or perhaps, *desired* for a more varied vocabulary.
"But they just wouldn't come out right. "
I think this line would be even better if expressed more poetically, rather than telling. Maybe adding some more metaphors to express how words didn't come easily and the impact it had.
"I got a piece of paper"
I know this line is probably supposed to be simple, but it comes across as not putting much thought in the significant other the poem will be written for, from the way its expressed. It would be even better if you said why you got it and how you felt.
"Something though
You don’t understand, "
I felt like this would flow more if written with additional few words, in the first line in particular, *There is something* perhaps?
Overall this was a nice poem. Keep writing! Hope this review helped.

Of course it helped. I'll keep those points in mind. I really appreciate it. Thank you so much!
Um, one thing. Not saying this was bad, this was great! Awesome! I don't know if this was supposed to be there though:
Okay, enough with the critique already. Get on with the praise:
Ever if I try I can never show
The way you take care of me
Is ever supposed to be even? I dunno. Hey, that rhymed!
I loved this poem! I think you really hit the target bulls-eye, I actually understood it!!!!!! And you actually made your point. I love this!!!!
Good point. You really are a 'wise girl', huh?
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it.
Ya, I am wise. Though I got the name from Percy Jackson.
Your welcs!
Hello! Suzette here to review!
Okay so let me start out with I LOVE THIS POEM! It's very good and gets your point across very well and I just love it. Sorry, I'm gushing over your poem...
But there is two things first, I would love to see some stanzas in here, I think it would make it look a bit cleaner. Also, some more punctuation would clean it up a bit. But all in all I really like this poem!
Keep writing,
Suzette.
Actually, there were stanzas. I just couldn't figure out the spacing thing. I just joined 2 days ago. I'll figure it out. Sorry for that. And I'll look into the punctuation. Thank you so much!
Of course, any time!
This is a long poem, but it is well written. Also, as rhiasofia said, you can use some punctuation. Opening is very strong and it kinda sounds like it maybe it could be in the beginning or end.
Then ending line is very nice. Nice way to end off a poem. And for something you just wrote, it isn't bad. Good work and keep on writing.

I'll look into that. Thank you so much! It means a lot.
Hello hello and good morning to you, lovely! Rhia here to review for you.
This is a bit lengthy, so I'm going to go bit by bit, and tell you whenever something stands out to me, good or bad, kay? Kay.
Okay, this has the potential of being a very strong opening, but it just isn't quite there yet. I like what you're getting at here, I really do, but here's the problem with this: you could be painting a beautiful image for me, of how the thoughts are trapped in your mind, swirling and lurching and storming into being just for this person, but each time you try to shape what you want to say, the words fall flat next to the joy they bring, the words bleed out through the paper and never look quite like you wanted them to, and you're left with an ink blot uncomparable to the caring in your heart. See how I did that? Build, darling, you are an architect with your words. I want these words to be built up all around and over me until all I can see is your words, kay? Kay. (P.S. you can so[/s] use any of what I just wrote as an example, if you want. They're all yours)
You could really do with some punctuation too. If you don't want to use punctuation, you could always play with line breaks and enjambment instead. However, you need to do something to add pauses in this piece, because I feel rushed when reading it. Remember, punctuation or line breaks serve to signify a pause for the reader, so they're very helpful. They add some dramtaic pauses, build up, etc. But also save my breath so I don't read this all as one long run-on
This bit was worded a bit strangely. I feel like you accidentally left out a "me" between "leaving" and "behind".
Also, I think that "something" should be changed to "even", cause it doesn't really make sense to me right now.
Also, it seemed like you tried to rhyme, but I couldn't follw a true set rhyme scheme. If you're going to rhyme, it needs to be consistent. Otherwise, you can always play with internal rhyme, or slant rhyme. Also, I felt like some lines were worded strangely, just to make them rhyme, which is something you [i]always want to avoid.
Alright lovely, that is all I have for you today. If you have any questions or would like some help in fixing up the things I mentioned, I'd love to help out, just PM or chat me, or leave a note on my wall. You have a wonderful day, now
Oh my god. Thank you so much!
I can believe you took out time to write such a big review about my poem. It really means a lot. I'll look into those things and surely will contact you if I need help.
