I watch as everyday she puts herself down
I watch as she falls into despair
As she starts
To Drown.
All I do is watch;
As she tries to fit in,
As she fails.
I watch.
I make no move to save her
From this grave she has buried for herself.
You may think it is because I am a cruel person
That may be true
But, I have other reasons.
She comes to class with red eyes
The tear stains still visible
Their paths leaving a salty trail down her cheeks.
She hides her pain
Behind poorly disguised smiles
Pretending to be
Alright.
I continue to watch
Hoping one day to see her true smile again
Not allowing any one else near
Letting her fall into despair
Only to come
And save her.
One day.
On a day
She feels like there's no more hope.
That day
I'll tell her
she was never alone to begin with.
That day,
One Day,
She will smile.
Because now,
Dear,
You are not alone.
Let those tears fall
And leave that fake smile behind
Because you no longer need it.
I will teach you how to swim
And will help you plant flowers in that hole,
Which took you so long to dig.
I am sorry I just watched for so long
But sometimes
You need to fall a few times before you can walk.
And I was learning how to fly.

Hey there! How are you? Purple here to give you a review! Let's get started.
I love this poem so much I can hardly express it. It starts sad but shows some light and hope and it's really inspiring for anyone with similar troubles. Usually, I am particular about the layout of a poem, but I didn't mind the distanced phrases. In fact, I couldn't imagine this laying out any differently.
Just a couple suggestions to help it flow better. Maybe change "She tries to fit in." in the 2nd stanza to "as she tries to fit in".
Also, after the first time of saying "One day" it says "On a day" did you mean this or did you mean to say "one day" again? I'm not sure. Anyway, this was amazing. Keep up the fantastic work! Have a good day!
this was really nice.
I absolutely love this format. Normally, I'm not one for typography, seeing as how most of the time, it doesn't really succeed, but you did a very good job of putting everything together well and making it flow, even though the stanzas were scattered.

I think that the boldface and italics, though, didn't work as well. I wasn't sure of their purpose. They really added some depth and good look to the piece, but you could've done without them. Maybe that's just an aesthetic choice, which I assume that is, so you can keep it if you want.
I really like this piece, m'dear!
Thank you
The bold and Italics worked better when it was just a preview.. I spent an hour trying to make the thing look like it did in the preview but the format wasn't working
Originally between each stanza there were three enter's but when I published it the format changed and so the italics and bold look weird XD
I'm glad you like it.. I don't really write much poetry anymore but I decided, "why not?" and posted it... I wasn't sure if people would actually read it though
so yeah Thanks XD
Anytime! And okay, I understand fully. You could still keep them and it would still look nice, I just wasn't sure of their purpose. But if you like them, which I still did like what they added, keeping them wouldn't be bad thing!
