Falling But Softly

by HiddenScars16

I hear them all talking
About how she died
Murder
Weapons
A knife to the eye
They all miss her dearly
of that much I'm sure
But one thing they forgot to mention
Is that I loved her

She was my best friend
Always gave a hand
To lend
She made me laugh
She made me cry
She made me love her
She made me break
But one thing I wonder
Is why she had to die?

Love made her strong
But love made me weak
And when love made me sleep
I remember this much
My baby did fly
She broke my everything
Without a second thought
Then she left me alone
All I can recall from that dreaful night
Was the sound of a scream and flashing lights

I remember things abotu her
That no one else knew
Like what her full name was
And that her favourite colour was
Blue
But the thing I remember
Quite clearly, above all else
I remember her smile
And I walked just to see her too

People said it was wrong
How much we cared for one another
Unnatural, disgusting
But nothing made me change my mind
I'd fallen in love
And had no life line
No back up line
But with so much left to lose
I'd made up my mind

The day she died
I did nothing but cry
The day she died
I can't remember her eyes
I rememeber her smile
And I rememeber her laugh
But I can't rememeber the colour
Of my true love's eyes
But then again
I know she rememeber's mine
