Everything

That's it, you've done it.
You've taken everything I wanted,
and made it yours.

First the freedom,
then the money,
and now, the girl.

And you stand there and gloat,
treating it like a joke.
like the world, somehow, still owes you a debt.

Well, I see through your charade.
I've seen you bitter, and broken, and on death's door.
Nothing for you has changed.

So you gloat,
You smile without your eyes,
letting bitterness take the backseat for the day.

All I can do is wait for the dam to break,
for you to slip up, to give up,
to show your true face.

So gloat,
flaunt her like a fishing lure over my head.
Make me work, I need a challenge.

Soon, I'll be the one gloating,
only with genuine happiness, I will smile.
I will take what you have and make it rightfully mine.

Everything.

Wow. That was really good. One thing I noticed (at least to me it did this) was in the sixth line. "and now, the girl." I feel like it kinda broke the flow a little, but that might just be me. But other than that, I thought the piece was really good! :D

Keep Writing!!
