Pens To Paper.

~ Perhaps this is a goodbye to an old friendship, or perhaps it was just me letting my pain out. In all honesty, it's both. In different degrees.

I never said you didn't care
But I cared too much
More than you would ever care
I won't deny that it hurts
But, honey, the pain ain't nothin' in comparison

Friendships are never one-sided
They can even be two, three or four
Ours became one-sided
And I tried to glue it back together
But you tore through my glue with scissors
You were pens to my paper

Flicking the lid off you drew all over me
You wrote his name in hearts once broken
The tears you drew turned to raindrops
As the crying girl was held tight in the storm

Friendships are never one-sided
They can even be two, three or four
Ours became one-sided
And I tried to glue it back together
But you tore through my glue with scissors
You were pens to my paper

The B became boring; non-existent
The F flowers in the rain
The F free from morning dew
The L love hearts with his name
We ceased to exist in your mind
And you recycled your paper incorrectly

Friendships are never one-sided
They can even be two, three or four
Ours became one-sided
And I tried to glue it back together
But you tore through my glue with scissors
You were pens to my paper

I cared too much
I shone too bright
You ripped me up
And you threw me out
You recycled me twice
But this time I won't be back
I'm flying through the air
Pens to paper
Pens to paper
Forever gone.

As a singer (slight brag) I really enjoyed singing this song, it has a soul and purpose. I believe the best lyrics is from you're emotions and this is nothing but that. A brilliant song, back up with the acoustic and piano melodies (my musical vision on the matter for this song), you can make this a brilliant song. Just go on edit post and change the format below the text box to make it easier to read and more structured.

I love it! Where was this when I lost my best friend? Lol it's really great, and I'm now going to share it with everyone I know! ~Tab
