Maybe I fear
the passionate colour
that burns red in my chest
because I'm afraid
to turn into something
as beautiful as
you.
Or,
Maybe I fear
the metamorphosis
that will transform me someday
because I'm afraid
to turn into something
less ugly than
me.

This was a good poem
I think the comma after chest is unnecessary though. And so is the one after me. You aren't supposed to use a comma before "because" eveeerrr! Just remember that!
Other than that, this was short and to the point. I liked it
Thanks for the tip! I think I had it like that in order to create a sort of pause, but I think that people will just read it how they like, and the way that has the greatest impact on them, so I'll edit those out!
Thanks for your opinion.
Hello there, Flux. I'm Rose, and I'm here to share my thoughts on this piece.

Overall, this is an amazing piece. It's brief and relatively simple compared to some of the works posted on here, but it still manages to pack more of a punch than some of the lengthier poems I've read. Unlike most of the short poems I come across, I feel that this one has depth, that I can sink my teeth into it. Great work.
"Maybe I fear
the passionate colour
that burns red in my chest,
because I'm afraid
to turn into something
as beautiful
as you."
I love when I read something and I know what it means, when the words go beyond making a simple point and represent something deeper, something not all people understand because not everyone has experienced the feelings necessary to truly comprehend what the author has written about. I understand these words. I am drawn to them because I can identify with them, because they show me that there are other people out there who are going through things like I am. Great work.
"Maybe I fear
the metamorphasis
that will transform me someday,
because I'm afraid
to turn into something
less ugly
than me."
You've mispelled "metamorphosis." It's just a nitpick, but it's something I noticed. Also, I'm not sure about the third line of this part. It might just be me, but it doesn't seem to flow as well as the rest of this piece. If I were you, I would consider changing it like so:
"Maybe I fear
the metamorphosis
that will eventually transform me
because I'm afraid
to turn into something
less ugly
than me."
This is merely my opinion. It's just fine the way it is. Again, I can identify with the feelings you've written about in this part completely.
I loved this piece. If you ever need review on anything, please feel free to let me know and I'll help you out!
Always keep writing!

Thanks Rose! I'll definitely take your nitpicks into account -- I'll just have to play around with it in order to get that "flow" that you mentioned. Again, I'm glad you liked what you read, and that you could relate with it!
I love it. I can relate to it, I wouldn't change anything. Amazing job!
Thanks for your review! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I am a suck for reviewing poetry, but this piece stood out to me so much that I felt some type of comment was necessary.
I really loved it. I'm now going to 'creep' your other pieces....That sounded much less creepy in my head.
You're great! Can't wait to see what you come up with next!

I don't have much up right now, because I sent them in for a contest and was asked in the rules to temporarily remove them -- but browse if you please! XD And thanks for your review! I'm glad that you enjoyed it to some extent! ;P
I really like this poem, it has a really deep meaning and makes you think.

"As beautiful as you"
"Less ugly than me"
I think you should make these statements one line, but of course that's just my opinion.
Awesome, thank-you! Yeah, I was dabbling with that myself -- I wasn't sure if it had a greater impact the way it is, or if I've put them together as a single line. I'll definitely think it over! Thanks again for your comment!
