Living Life (The primary purpose of writing this novel)

by Eros
PreviousNext

As the title itself suggests, this is a kind of introductory part of my novel.

Life is not straight. It is a really tough journey and times aren't always happy. There are many moments when everything goes wrong and we feel burst from inside. There are moments when we are so happy that we forget everything. The most difficult situation in which one gets trapped most oftenly---the situation when we have to keep a balance of work and emotions. One feels frustrated with the arduous journey with so many hurdles and so many obstacles.

One is born with a carefree and insouciant attitude. Complexities grow up with him. But along with this what is important is to 'live' life. Life is a 'woken' state. One must not be only physically and mentally awake... but one must also let the heart remain awake and enjoy every moment of life. This life is gifted only once to you.

The main story of "Living Life" will describe how should be a life. Life should be filled with romance and care, determination and aspiration, drama to some extent and full of good humour. What made me to think over and write this is the incident of a murder. I read in a local daily that a young school going boy of 16 murdered his mother just because she scolded him for not studying. Well, yes...I agree that a child may feel burdened with studies and feel that his/her mother is always behind him/her for studying and staying disciplined. But these are two really important aspects of a little boy going to school. If the habits are not nipped in the bud, they may go on increasing and one day they may even backfire the child himself. If the boy had 'lived' his life and tackled the situations in a playful way and most importantly carried out his responsibility of studies with a determined attitude, perhaps he may not have committed this crime.

The story is basically of life portrayed as a typical model of how it should be. It will have action, drama, romance, determination and how one must tackle the frustrations and transform it into a battle fought only to win.

Hope you enjoy.

Hi there Red for a review!

From what I read, I would like to read your novel. I like romance and realistic fiction. However, I think I would have preferred to just read your novel than the introduction. I feel this could've been a blog because it wasn't a story, but you laying out your intentions. Honestly, though, this was unnecessary. I don't really want to be told your intentions. I want to be shown. I want to interpret my own meaning from your words.

Aside from that there were some phrases that were awkward and other nitpicks.

we feel burst from inside

I feel like there was a missing word here. It was confusing.

that we forget everything

When I'm happy, I don't forget "everything". Maybe go for a more specific word like "woes" or "worries"

will describe how should be a life

This is kind of awkward. Do you mean: how a life should be

[/quote]a young school going boy
Maybe you want to take out "going".

his/her mother is always behind him/her

In another part of this writing you used the pronoun "him". You may want to keep it consistent. Personally I would go with gender neutral pronouns such as they and them.

If the boy had 'lived' his life and tackled the situations in a playful way and most importantly carried out his responsibility of studies with a determined attitude, perhaps he may not have committed this crime.

I was disappointed by this paragraph here. It's too assuming. For a child to MURDER their mother over her scolding him about not studying may be due to serious mental issues. Your proposing if he just was more disciplined than he wouldn't have committed the crime, but I think there is more to that. I didn't read the news article. You know more, but we're both speculating, and I don't like this example of someone being lazy. This is someone who has serious issues and different from the situation you wrote in your novel.
Anyway I want to read your novel. I think it would be very relatable for me and my of the young writers here.

Thank you,

Hello, Eros! Ruby here to clear the GR cause that's my job now as a knight! :D

Anyway, I'm really excited for this novel partly because my life's been stressful lately and I'd like to see how you portray life, and partly because I don't think I've read anything from you before.

The main story of "Living Life" will describe how should be a life.

Found this and thought you meant "...will describe how life should be."

Anyway tag me when the chapters come out!
