When little, coddled men of means
Put their pens to work,
Their product dies a hackyned death,
For egotism lurks.
The crucible of canticles;
Of meter, plot and prose
Burn away distinctions
That petty men can sow.
Of all the arts and disciplines
Man has given rise
None reveals the crafter
Like the Passion of the Wise.
The art that has imbued us
With a reverence for thought,
Is all that never could be killed
And still, yet to be bought.

Although I loved this and it is indeed quite intellectual. I'm going to be bold and do the opposite of what everyone else just did, I'm going to give you a word of advice against the vocabulary. Someone very clever once told me that it is not the vocabulary that makes the poem, rather, it's the diction. A word does not need to be complex or fancy in order to make a poem seem part of the elite...it simply needs to be effective.
All in all, good poem!
keep writing,
Rita
Hello there.
First i want to say that you have a great command on your vocabulary because you just bombarded my brain with some of your blasting words. This was some ride through the total piece. Phew...
As i see you are new here but i must say you really will catch up to everyone in no time by these kind of pieces.
According to me this piece has nothing much to review except for a few things.
Just a miss spell and a few punctuation mistakes. Nothing else is wrong with the poem. I must once again say that you have done a great job with the vocabulary and you should keep it up. I really loved it a lot.
Keep up the great work. I am looking forward for your works.
PM me for anything.

A very good little poem. You have shown a great vocabulary and ability to contruct your phrases. Well done!
