Sing

Sing,
I love to sing,
Day in, day out,
I open my mouth,
And out comes a note,
Straight out of my throat.

Music helps me,
It clears my head,
Or gives me ideas,
Which can be said and read.

When I sing I’m in a world,
Completely my own,
and it doesn’t really matter,
if I’m a little off tone,
cause in my heart I know,
that music is the key,
to reach my destiny.

Helluee Destie!

I really enjoyed reading this piece! It was lighthearted and just sweet overall.

"When I sing I’m in a world,
Completely my own,
and it doesn’t really matter,
if I’m a little off tone,"- I like these fours lines espacially much and I can totally relate!

When it comes to the structure though, I've got a few nitpicks. To begin with, your stanzas are very irregular as they differ in both number of lines, and length of each line. This irregularity disturbs the flow which is sad because that lowers the overall impression of this piece that otherwise is really good. It may not be very vivid and creative, but it's honest and lighthearted and made me smile! xD

Good Luck & Keep Writing

Wow, this is a great poem, I enjoyed reading it! You did a great job keeping the piece rhythmic and flowing. It sounds great and has a definite rhythm to it. There's great imagery and emotion in this.

I completely agree with this poem. I am a singer and this is exactly how I feel! :)

That was really nice and sweet. Even I love to sing so I can relate quite well with you words and whatever you said is perfectly correct. Music definitely is 'the key to reach our destiny'. Nice poem. :-)

I like this short lyric poetry. I've never actually read a poem ABOUT a singing so this is my first and I really like it. Nice work with the rhyming words. I always have a hard time doing that. So keep on writing and singing :D

Some edits that may or may not help you:

Sing,
I love to sing,
Day in, day out,
I open my mouth,
And out comes a note,
Straight out my throat.

Music helps me,
It clears my head,
It gives me ideas,
Which can be said and read.

When I sing I’m in a world,
Completely my own,
And it doesn’t really matter,
If I’m a little off tone,
'Cause in my heart I know,
That music is the key,
To reach my destiny.

Also, I quite like this. I'm not too familiar with lyrical poetry, straight free verse is more my thing, but it definitely had a certain tune to it and a, well, lyrical quality. And, yes, so I don't trip over myself anymore, I shall leave this review here.

But, anyway, great job and keep at it, eh? I'd love to see more poems from you.

I wish literally anything else I ever said made it into the quote generator.
