Pills To Cover The Pain

Warning: This work has been rated 16+ for mature content.

(TW: Themes of self-harm and suicide)

------- 124 days since it happened--------

Every day I wake up,

And p o p

Another pill in my mouth.

A little white sphere,

c o l d,

u n f e e l i n g,

Promising relief.

My hand trembles,

As I lift the bottle to the light,

Counting the days until I'm alright.

-------------- 1 day since it happened-------------

I'm sorry Mom,

I didn't mean to.

Well, I did mean to.

But I didn't mean to mean to.

I swallowed your love,

But it didn't fit in.

The knife did though,

It filled the empty space as I cut out my heart.

What am I really sorry for?

That I didn't finish the job.

------------------- 1 week since it happened -----------------

The scars are like constellations,

They mark my skin.

They each tell their own story,

Of a night I couldn't win.

"It's not my fault" They say,

"You're just tired, take this pill."

"You're feeling blue today, take another."

"You're in pain, here's your solace, take it still."

But what if the pill's a lie?

What if it's the silence that's killing me?

I'm just going to be honest and say I am not in the most focused of moods tonight :>
that's... do you need a hug? are you okay? like, actually okay? I know this is a review and stuff but let me get personal for a second. I have a therapy number if you need it. you cant text but you can call and talk to a random stranger who could give you advice and just... listen. i only used it once. it helped.

as to address other things... yes, the silence is killing you. but so are those pills. i wont say stop. youd have serious withdrawls. it would kill you. so like a drinker, maybe slowly draw back until you can completely stop? yes, each scar tells their own story. i have them too. and you have to live with these stories for the rest of your life. but good stories arent in the form of scars. its in your voice. its in how you carry yourself. so make a few good stories and you wont have time to make the harmful ones. who can say if a story is good or bad, though? so make the stories that make the time fly by. just. like. a. pill. i get it if you cant be all sunshine and rainbows, and im not going to launch in the cliche, "it starts with you" charade that youve probably heard a thousand times. but i will say that your day can get a little brighter just by attempting a conversation with someone you broke ties with, or someone that you hurt in the past. or maybe just someone in general!
have a good day!

Thank you for being concerned, I'm in a better mental state now.

What a beautiful poetry about the sensational yet raising issue of the new generation...though she didn't mean to commit but she did thought of it because of the swirling pain in her heart.

She didn't wanted to be the reason of her mother's tears still yet she thought. The constant war between heart and mind beautifully portrayed.

It's wonderful 👏....good job keep it up
