Vampires Dont Really Bite... Do They?

Chapter One

Fang Gang

Hi. My name is Rosalie, but everyone just calls me Rose….

Okay…Use to call me Rose.

Now they all call me ‘Vamp Lover’.

This all started when I really just figured out vampires were real and questioned the fact if they were evil. I mean just because they’re undead and supposedly suck blood, that makes them evil? No way. I wanted to meet one face to face and talk. Everyone in school had heard about that somehow and called me crazy. But guess what, I don’t care what they think. So…by now for sure you’re wondering if I did meet a vampire, right?

I did.

On the way back home from school I was being spied on; don’t ask me how I knew.

I just have a feeling, and I know. I kept looking around but didn’t see anyone.

Weird if you ask me.

I started humming and thought maybe it was just a leaf falling off the giant tree behind me. Suddenly I heard someone slip on the pavement and turned quickly to see who it was, but the person already had run away. I sighed and quickened my pace. I heard footsteps with mine… But I was too afraid to look back. I reached my house. I jumped over the low white fence around the house; there was a small white wooden door to go through. But I never go through the door. Mother disliked it very much. She always complained, “Rosie! That is so un-lady like!” Whatever Ma.

Anyway back to the creepy ‘I’m being followed by someone or something’ part, I hurried up to the house door and opened it. It was unusually dark in the house. “Ma, Pa! I’m home!” I called anyway. I thought maybe they wanted ‘Alone Time’ or something like that.

When there was no response I got worried. I gulped and then called out again walking inside the house, “Mom… Dad? A-are you h-home?” My voice was quivering with the fear inside me. Suddenly the door behind me shut, I screamed and turned around…. Nothing was behind me to close the door… Nothing was there! I screamed again!

Then a laughter of about five maybe four people chimed in with my scream.

Then a dim light turned on and from the darkness.

A figure of a boy about my age, stepped forward and said, “And this is the girl who wanted to meet a vampire? She’s scared of a door closing behind her and she wants to meet a vampire? Ha!” I slowly turned around to face him and said, “Y-y-you-you…” I was stuck and couldn’t say anymore than that.

But clearly Mister Fangs (That’s what I call all vampires I meet when I don’t know

their names, Mister or Miss Fangs.) knew what I was going to say and said. “Yeah, we’re all vampires. And no, your parents are not A, Dead. B, Eaten. C, Turned into vampires or D, Knocked out and tied up somewhere in a deep dark old cellar.”

I was like totally freaked out. I was about ready to faint when suddenly an electric shock made me fully active. “Not all of us are vampires, Jason. I’m a witch!” called out a girl’s voice. I was guessing she did that shock into my body. “Just you, Sheesh!” Said the person called Jason, “And no giving out our names you dolt!” There was a thud and it was pretty clear he hit the girl on the head because right after the thud, came a sharp, “Ow!”

I was still in shock but grinned, “Wow! Vampires and a witch! Cool!” “Uh…” said all the voices at once. I suddenly reached for the light switch to my left wanting to see them correctly. When the light turned on, the four vampires which were three boys and one girl hissed and pulled up the hoods of their black hoodies.

“Oops! I am so sorry! I didn’t mean to! I’ll turn off the lights I mean—” But the witch girl said, “This isn’t sun light. No need to slink away.” “We know that!” called out Jason pulling down his hood. The others didn’t though. Jason looked really cool, Black hair and black eyes and not pale skin but normal human looking skin, but when grinned I was a little shaken by his two vampire fangs.

He took my hand and bowed slightly then kissed my hand, in an old fashioned greeting. All I could do was grin and say, “Uh…Nice to meet you too.” Jason smiled widely looking up to her and said. “Wow… No scream? I was sort of thinking you’d slap me away and scream again, Miss Jumpy.” I just stuck my tongue out at him. He caught it with his fingers and then said with a raised eyebrow.

“Not very lady-like are we?” I pushed away his hand and spit onto the floor. He touched my tongue! Yuck! I pulled a napkin out of my pocket and started to clean my tongue with it, but ended up getting little bits of the napkin stuck on my tongue too along with his germs. Gross!

(I spat again) Jason, I could tell, was trying very hard not to laugh. So were his friends. I glared at him, and said, “It’s not funny!” That did it. They all busted out laughing, even the witch girl. “Hey!” I yelled, “I just said it wasn’t funny!”

They laughed harder. “Oh! But it is funny!” Jason said finally able to stop laughing. Slowly the others stopped too. “And as I recall.” I started to say not at all happy, then continued, “I only wanted to talk to *ONE* vampire.”

Jason raised an eyebrow and replied. “Okay, One of us? Sure.” He turned to his friends then said, “Go on to the base. I’ll catch up with you guys later.” They nodded and witch girl raised her hand which started to glow and with her other one waved ‘bye’ and then they were all suddenly gone. Only Jason remained.

He turned back to me then said. “Ask away. But some answers are not like the folklore. Like, we don’t suck *human* blood, we drink the blood of a special fruit called, ‘Humanie’, which is close to ‘Human’ but not really. Its juice is red and just looks like blood! And we’re NOT undead… We just live for a very long time and some of us have pale skin. And we dislike the sunlight because our kind lived in the caves underground long ago and they were use to the dark… And we inherited the liking of the dark. We are like the elves, gnomes, trolls, pixies and the like… You’ve never seen one yet your kind always makes up fantasies of them. I mean really. Okay, maybe only your school saw a vampire once and went around saying we drank blood because one of us still had the juice of a fruit on his face? Gah! Your kind is so odd!”

“So what you’re saying is vampires are good, they don’t suck blood out of human necks and that, they only hate sunlight… or any light for that matter because they are use to the dark in which their kind lived in before?” I said blinking twice.

“Yes! Exactly!” cried out Jason, then I said. “And you’re telling me pixies are real… along with trolls and gnomes?” I said my voice full of doubt. I didn’t think he was being serious about the other creatures. “Yes!” said Jason missing the doubt in my voice, I rolled my eyes.

“So… What about the driving the wooden stake into the heart of the vampire’s body thing?” “How about I drive a stake through your heart and see how long you stay alive?” “So you’re saying your kind isn’t immortal?” “Yes! That’s what I’m saying!”

“And if anything was driven into your body… You’d die like a human?” “Yes.”

“How long

do vampires live?” “Thousands of years...” “Wow. You must learn so much living that long.” “Yes but one problem.” He laughed then continued, “We don’t age quickly…That meaning extra time in diapers.” “…” “No comment?” He said laughing. “No comment.”

I said grinning slightly but then frowned. “And… Why the fangs then?? I mean no blood sucking meaning you don’t need to bite into any necks. Right? So…What’s with the fangs?”

“We need our sharp hard fangs to dig into the ‘skin’ of the humanie fruit.

It’s otherwise too hard to eat.” “Okay…I only have one more question Jason…. How’d you know I wanted to talk to a vampire?”

He suddenly grinned and answered, “We can change forms…” “…Sorry?” “We. Can. Change. Forms.” Jason repeated slowly and loudly. “I know what you said! I meant, what do you mean by that?” I said rolling my eyes the second time today.

“I mean, I can change how I look…For example…I could…look….Like you.” He said while slowly his hair was turning longer and blonde… Like mine! Then he was turning into MY height! God he looked odd for a second like that… With long blonde hair, black eyes, my height and his nose changing shape. I shivered. But I started laughing when his flat boy chest wasn’t flat anymore! His face was so funny! “Okay…. This isn’t funny!” his voice was changing too… It was squeaky. I just laughed harder and said, “Oh, Yes it is!” I was laughing so hard tears came to my eyes I had to rub them out.

But after I had my eyes opens and I was looking at me! Kind of, it was Jason…

But he looked like me... It was him but not him! Well… One way to tell us apart was Jason still had his own clothes on.

He said, “I’ve never turned into a girl before…” He started swinging his hips (My hips… sort of) side to side then said, “….You really should be a dancer with these hips! You’d win the school talent show!” I punched him in his (my) arm and said, “Stop that and go back to normal Jason!”

Jason started grinning evilly and said with his voice sounding like mine… (It was torture!) “Maybe I should go to school in this body and make you look like a complete fool!” “If you do you’ll be dead in the next few hours after doing it.”I said glaring. He laughed and started to change back, his hair, then nose, ears, eyes then chest and after his height.

“I’d like to see you try, Miss I’m scared of a door closing behind me.” He chuckled.

“And I’m not entering the school talent show. Never. I never have and never will.” I said suddenly. “Oh. Why not?” Jason said leaning in closer to me looking me in the eyes. “You scared of the fake painted doors?” He couldn’t help it but start laughing again after that.

I was getting annoyed… But I couldn’t join the talent show. Try-outs were tomorrow! I didn’t even have a talent! And the talent show is just a big show where you just show off… sheesh.

Then out of the blue as if he was reading my mind he said, “You have a talent? No? Okay… Try singing! I bet you’re good.” “Oh and I’m just suppose to sing in front of someone I just met? No way.” I said. Then he said with a raised eyebrow, “What? C’mon. Just sing. ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars’… Know that one?

“Yeah…But I’m not singing it. And you still didn’t answer me actually… Unless…. You were the guy with black hair and blue eyes! I knew there was something odd about him! He was you! I mean… You were him! I mean… You know what I mean!”

“Yeah... I was him. Now please just sing one simple song…. It’s not going to kill you.” I sighed then shook my head slightly saying, “No, No and No.”

… SHRIEEEK, BA BOOM! Hissss …

Mom’s car! God! I had to get Jason out! I grabbed his arm and pulled him to the window at the back and kept saying, “Out out out! Mom can’t see you! Out!” “OKAY OKAY!” he yelled. I yanked open the window and pushed him out of it. Lucky for him we were down at the first floor of the house, so the drop was like wee- opps ground floor.

“Honey…? What are you doing at the window?” My mother said coming in through the front door. “N-Nothing!” I shut the window and turned to face her, “Hi Ma! How are you? Nice drive? Good to know! See you later I got to go change my clothes! Bye!”

I hugged her then zoomed up the stairs to my room and shut the door then locked it. My hand was still on the handle when I heard, “Man… Did you really have to push me out the window? I mean I would have gladly just stepped out through It.”, Said a voice sounding very much like a vampire that goes by the name of Jason.

I turned to him with my arms folded, “What part of the ‘me pushing you out of the window’ did you not understand?”

“… All of it apparently” “It meant that was your cue to leave. Go to your… what did you call it? Base? Yeah. Go back to your base."

“I dunno.” Said Jason, “I sort of like it here.” He threw himself back onto my bed.

“Jason. Please?” I said in a slightly annoyed voice.

He rolled his eyes and mumbled before saying out loud. “I was only kiddin’”

“….Jason, you really are starting to get on my nerves.”I said as I threw a jacket at him, which was on the chair I was going to sit on. Which he failed to dodge, and it draped over his head. He balled it up and threw it aside saying, “Really? Wow, that was fast. The last time it took me eight hours to get on someone’s nerves. I must be getting good.” He ended with a small chuckle, and then added, “Or you’re just really easy to annoy.”

“.. Just shut up Jason.”

He smirked then made himself more comfortable on my bed … then raised a brow suddenly shooting up into sitting and pulled a stuffed animal out from under the covers then laughed—It was Miss Pinkle-Mary!—Er I mean .. My stuffed—GACK! I mean it was *A* stuffed pink pony I’ve never seen before!

He smirked again then said laying back down looking it over, “Cute.” … “Just give it here Jason” He threw it over and I had to jump to actually catch it out of the air… I smoothed its main then set it on my desk.

… Then I face-palmed when I remembered I left my book-bag downstairs … I mumbled, ‘Great’ …

I dropped it the first time I screamed. “Stay here.” I said unlocking then yoinking my door open I stepped out and ran down the stairs—My Dad had come home! … And Jason was still *here*! Perfect.. I forced a smile and said, “Daddy!” and rushed over and hugged him tight acting normal. “There ya’ are!” he said with a chuckle then ruffled my hair and hugged me back. Good. He couldn’t tell anything was wrong. Dad kept me awhile asking me the normal ‘How was school’ and all that.

After I finally got away and ran back to my room with my bag, Jason was gone … I sighed, I sat at my desk and got to work on homework thinking I imagined the whole thing, I later went to bed after lunch then dinner, I thought to myself 'I'm so glad tomorrow's the weekend' before I finally slept … I woke up the next day and heck … I sure knew I didn’t imagine a thing thanks to one vampire who was THIS close to my face when I awoke.

Chapter Two

Some People Can Never Take A Hint

...

"Jason ... Move your bloody face out of the way ..." I said turning around and hiding my face into my pillow, pulling the covers over my head. "I told you to shoo ... so you know what you're suppose to dooo? SHOO!" it was a half muffled yell because well I kinda did have my face in my pillow.

Jason stared at me like I was insane then smirked I'm sure as he said, "I'm not a cat you can shoo away ..." He sat on the edge of my bed and pulled the covers off my head and poked it a few times, "And are you always so grouchy to guests of your home?"

"Only to the ones I dislike, namely you ... You ... and hey you know who else? YOU!" yoinking the covers back up over my head, I added, "And I'm mostly grouchy because I woke up to your bloody annoying face... ON THE BLOODY WEEKEND! Drop dead Vampire boy..."

Acting offened Jason stood from my bed and faced me folding his arms, but before he could say anything I had already threw the covers off me and twisted him around and pushed him to the window. He was amazingly confused, but at the time I thought he was just being stupid so I said, "Well you woke me up! I'm going to get dressed, so if you dont mind I'd like you standing here looking out of the window and NOT LOOKING AT ME!"

He smirked and shook his head then looked out the window arms still folded.

I turned around and walked to my closet, I pulled out a random shirt and some short jeans,

then I started to change, I was too bloody tired to actually leave the room and change...

But uh .. Let's just give me a little privacy hm?

Well now's a good time as any even though I should have told you from the start, I'm a teenager, right on the road of turning fourteen, and I'm not exactly .. ah flat.

I'm a little shorter than average, and I've got blonde hair and- No not blue eyes but brown. I got my blonde hair from my Mum and my brown eyes from my Dad, so they can honestly say I have characteristics of both my parents. I'm that one girl who hates makeup and would rather play sports or video games with the 'Duuudes' and- Oh hey I'm done getting dressed, so yeah back to the story-

"You can look now." I mumbled still half asleep holding my PJs in my arms ... "But you know what? Stay here, I'm dumping my stuff in the clothes basket..."

I left him alone in my room and walked down the hall to the bathroom, dumped my stuff off and walked back and nearly jumped out of my skin in suprise when I didn't just see Jason- Oh no, I saw his whole Fang Gang.

...

"What the heck- Why are you- Ruined ... My weekend? Ruined." I said and I turned right around and walked down the stairs to the kitchen and got myself breakfast.

I was SO glad my parents sleep in during the weekend.

(Again sorry, no updating for awhile, for both my stories)

Well see it's a manner of teenage speech.
Usually when a teen tries to make something appear
horrid or show that he or she (usually she) is
annoyed they speak like that,
Example with me!

"Da-Wha- My party? Ruined. You ruined it Dad. Thanks"

Now do you understand? I hope. Because it's how I speak
and most likely more sentances like that will appear
through out the story because Rosie here is one to become
annoyed fairly quick.
